Why exactly was it so important for us to know that Azimuth Biochemicals was later bought by Pharmasapien? The latter company was not involved with the Adamastor, the company got bought after the ship vanished...
...unless there's an abandoned settlement in Chukchan that belonged to Pharmasapien and may provide us with the cypher we need to decrypt that message. (Still at the LP, so no chance of checking that right now).

This is what had me thinking about the scanned logs again. There are some really smart people trying to crack this - which you have to figure FD want us to crack for Halloween - and if the problem is that hard they might have buried a clue in some other information we've been given.

Hmm I did a few lines on the map in the thread earlier but didnt think to triangulate both together, it was quite tricky!

Once I was there I could fine-tune the eye-balling, however search a wide area (image below wasnt exhaustive) I didnt find any interesting locations in the planets
Would be interesting to see if COL 285 SECTOR can be extracted in anyway from the LP encrypted data

1) We know that Adamastor origin is Chukchan (cos autopilot bring the ship back to it)
2) From Coalsack they are not flying to base, but another "SAVE PLACE"
3) We do not know why they are flight in Sunuefe at the first place (so LP and final distanation of the ship probably are not related at all)
ADD:
But we know that they are not known about UFS(in russian НЁХ) in Coalsack before Adamastor reach the LP, so it was reorinteted after in company gets report from Carver`s team
