Watching the DOASM vid it seems they're only considering the co-op parts of it, and even the PvP things discussed has been about snipers griefing players.
It seems to me there are lots of other interesting ways to (ab)use it. Like you disable the player, use player dragging to take them to a ship (or steal theirs). Then heal them in the med bay - but don't heal their legs - so basically they're your captive now (like the film Misery

). Orgs can do the same thing - after a big battle why let the opposition respawn? Keep them alive and take them captive on your prison ships.
With player bodies - wait for them to respawn, then drag the body to your ship and take it somewhere else so the player can't find it. Well, unless they have beacons on the bodies ... but that wouldn't be very 'realistic'.
