Took my usual poke around Spectrum and for once looked outside General into their Other Games and Off-Topic sections. And my, they really don't like to talk about things other than SC. Its rather strange. Maybe it will come more alive if SC ever releases and player engagement increases.
Which, just to deviate a litte, but even looking at General, it doesn't really seem like a forum with alledgedly thousands of active players. Even with the alpha state, there are claims made that SC already has more active players than ED... so why are their forums so much quieter? They look like a forum with less than a thousand active people on.
Anyway, i digress, found a thread about Cyberpunk
Hey , Anyone planing to play cyberpunk 2077 ? Game looks awsome and I herd that in one the expansions we will be able to visit a space station or a city on the moon !

And saw this funny comment.
Says the Star Citizen backer.... oh boy.
Interestingly enough though, in those parts of the forums, it seems like the faithful are not only less present, but also tend to get shouted down more. Almost like those who actually play other games are not as blinded by CIG/CR.
Apart from the dozens of threads on the meaningless elections, which are certainly kicking up a lot of fuss about something that only changes the name on some screens, we have:
Yet another thank you CIG letter
Thank you CIG. Thank you for what you’re doing. No matter what some can tell you. You’re just doing something big, something great. I know the alpha is not perfect. Sometimes I want to throw my...

Top comment is good though
Someone daring to ask about progress.... oh dear
There must be a growing body of components/functions/details that have been completed by now... A list or chart would be nice.

Haha, someone hasn't been paying attention for the last 8 years.
Someone who is absoloutely clueless about the griefer/ganker mentality shares their (lack of) insight
The numerous cloning concern/outrage threads have touched on something that some backers on Spectrum seem to have either forgotten or willfully ignored. Star Citizen is a full-loot game. It has...

Strange, because i definitely remember CIG talking about a PvE slider as well as private servers.
And yet another person showing zero understanding of what they are talking about
So we're all aware of how prevalent hacking has gotten in the last 10 years and how it turned from disgruntled bad gamers writing code, to a billion dollar industry feeding off the lack of interest...

Still, interesting proposal, and a good way of stopping children from playing the game... unless of course, they use mommy's or daddy's credit card... and of course those who live in countries where they can't pay via credit card.
SC are amateurs at this stuff. FD were as well, and took a long time to get things even at least somewhat under control, and its still a problem. Fornite has a massive problem with cheaters. GTA has a massive problem with cheaters. Many popular games do. All because hackers know what they are doing.
