I don't know that it's had that much effect on turnout either way, interestingly. We've only had three trade CG weeks (one with two CGs) so far.

Hmm maybe not the with the figures you gave, was thinking more of the Rares one where everybody got a chance to participate I suppose, in my head had 5-6K by Sun with 1K per day adding roughly until the end...anecdotal though.

For AX one I was thinking last one had 4-5K with seemingly a lot of new Cmdrs trying it for the first time. That thread is a bit more populated with early drop outs maybe.

Perception based either way, figures will speak for themselves.

Also I did my first 4 CGs in small or medium ships last year, getting a smaller cash bonus is one thing, not having a chance to deliver 10K tons and that reward in an Asp or a Python is another, might not have bothered and just been left feeling salty. Easy in a T9 now but does seem to exclude the newer players or the casual...and its supposed to be a large C Community Goal, still not convinced this one has been available to all the Community...or just longer term more serious players who can put the hours in and the big loads....

I tried to adjust my prices for smaller/new traders, allowing them to make a profit on both ends of the trip. I also advertised in the fleet carrier Discord.

Unless players are clued in to third party tools, or watching the forums and Reddit, they are at a disadvantage.

My T9 is too vulnerable, I've found. The Cutter drivers lord it over all. This makes it hard to compete for medium, or smaller ships, unless they have an FC...and a short run to the target.

Oh. "Docking Access Denied" doesn't help much if you're at 5% hull, after three pirates in a row. :(

"Access Denied" should have been a starport name for this CG....and someone probably has a carrier named that.

i really can't get my head around the perceived unavailablity.
now, trade CGs have always been for large ships - cutters, t9s.
with a t9 and no FC-cooperative gameplay, for the top 25% you'd have to invest 6,5 hours over this weekend. i have done 3 runs in a t9, 25 minutes per tour. i know that's a lot of time for some players, but surely not out of the window for top 25% with 2 hours and a bit on three evenings (thursday, friday, saturday).
with a FC and a t9 this boils down to 30 dockings plus sc and FC lockdown. something between 5 hours and 3,5 hours.

both doesn't read to me as unavailable, but as perceived unavailable.

a huge problem of the CG setup imho is making the non-community special reward top 25%. i know that a lot of players (me included) don't like that kind of competitive gameplay in a field of play which is all coop-gameplay (building a new outpost of humanity!).
i therefor resolved to loading Fcs in the bubble.

Hey cmdrs, where is best place to find carriers unloading? Inara, eddb, did someone mention a discord? No time to read this whole thread, squeaky bum time!
