now, trade CGs have always been for large ships - cutters, t9s.

hmm, in one way only the top % ranks and bragging rights, but they dont matter if its just credits or decals for everyone or global rewards or is just something quicker like rank advancement, I can take my time and blaze my own trail. Newer payers get smaller bonuses in smaller ships, yeah, no issue there. Newer players have no chance to get the reward at all Different scenario entirely maybe.....

a huge problem of the CG setup imho is making the non-community special reward top 25%. i know that a lot of players (me included) don't like that kind of competitive gameplay in a field of play which is all coop-gameplay (building a new outpost of humanity!).

Which I think is what I was saying.

Casual player is just that, 2-6 hrs a week, maybe one session on one night when the kids are in bed, maybe a couple shorter ones. this CG has maybe not been one for casual players. Maybe thats fine, maybe its not. Last time it wasn't so great when it finished early, this time its finished early and there are some unique rewards that only a small % of the Community have been able to get. Yet everyone contributed. And a lot are fighting for that 25% means a lot of wasted effort and this time it means something. Im still not sure is all Im saying, I can see why people would get salty, it remains to be seen if it happens or not.

Carriers have changed this one. I'm in that casual category. I usually find that an hour of Cutter runs each evening gets me to the top 25%. This time the same gameplay has just scraped into 50%, so no FSD for me. The difference seems to be the 10-jump distance slowing down my deliveries and giving people incentive to cooperate over carriers. Interesting tradeoff. I might go and look round a carrier showroom now.

Food time and carrier still not empty...

yeah, it's shocking, in a CG where the top 25% get the unique rewards, 75% of all contributors don't get one.
couldn't FDEV not lower the requirements to hit top 25%?
If this would have been a rare commodities CG, still 75% would not have hit the top 25%, as that is mainly about time at hand.
...
but once one got his head around that, there stays the question, what was the requirement to hit top 25% and is it really that unavailable?

that said, there are still a bunch of tier rewards for us, i'm very pleased about the services and outfitting options etc. we helped build.

I am in USDIA, 40 sec of Fowler Orbital, loading Power Gen, AND I buy them for 7502 credits ( 300 % profit for 1 minute trip, for those to want to help loading.
FC name - Herbert Frank Dune - all allowed.

yes this ^^

We put a lot more effort in WHN, but it doesn't have all the amenities we will get in Coalsack because of this effort.
And i get the feeling the double engineered fsd will not have more jump range than the normal one.
It will only boot faster (2s) and it will generate more heat because of that. Thus making it a very niche module.

Hey cmdrs, where is best place to find carriers unloading? Inara, eddb, did someone mention a discord? No time to read this whole thread, squeaky bum time!

I don't know about best, since I've not tried them all but I found the simplest way was to watch this thread - no need to read the whole thing, just keep an eye on the last couple of pages was enough, as several FC owners have been posting regular updates here with their FC flight plans.

Suspect most of them will have stood down now though, for fear of being caught with a hold full of unwanted cargo when the CG ends.

Bazmeson is out.

I'll stick around for until its over & then announce a return trip to the bubble in case anyone needs a lift.

I managed to do one 688T trip, one minute after you announced your location, thank you. By the time I returned for a second trip, Bazmeson was dry.
I'm still onboard and might hitch a ride back to the bubble, depending on which system you are jumping to.

I can't recall the reward for witch head, was it a decal?
