Yeah, and A rated thrusters help a lot with the agility. I upgraded mine last night and while I was "only" able to get them to Dirty Drive 5 without experimental via remote engineering, they make for one heck of a maneuverable ship. It's not a sports car but it's more of a minivan than a box truck with a 50 year old engine now.

Heh, haven't bothered with mines yet, I only have Felicity for thrusters so far and I pinned long-range FSD ofc. Plus i was too lazy to fly to Deciat.
I guess unlocking whoever is the thruster specialist is the next thing I'm gonna work on.

And yeah, that CG was sometime painful with plain thrusters

Now you've gone and done it. I have to upgrade the Milk Truck, now.

I'm afraid a three day window is by far too small for those of us with a living, and still I wonder if I want to spend two days of my life with this crazy rush, even if I had the time to do so.

Said this, I had to stop with 6000tn yesterday afternoon and I'm happy since then.

Glad it is over. Not really looking to repeat. Congrats to those who enjoyed it.

Aaargh.

I missed top 25% by about 13 tons (if INARA is right).

Or, put it differently, by the idiotic bug that killed my ship 1km from SoN when an NPC ship materialised from SC right on top of me (while I was on autopilot docking), managed to take down my shields and hull before blowing up and thus setting all the security on me who finished me before I could even say "but officer!". That one extra shipment would have got me over the line, easy.

Sucks.

But thanks to helpful FC owners, w/o whom I'd have less of a chance (and even less of sleep).

I had a few suicidal NPCs do that to me but fortunately managed to avoid hitting them all, very annoying though, how they're able to drop out almost on top of you/the station.

I'm running "D" rated on mine, albeit with Dirty Drive 3, to save weight - needed the maximum jump range for this CG but might have to look into fitting "A" rated, if they help out that much. To be honest, even if they don't, getting more than 150m/s out of the truck would be nice :)

Edit: Then again, the T-9 is a huge barge, its not meant to feel like a sports car, so I might just leave it as is, since it feels right, even if its a pain in the backside :)

Nilt's Jalopy N7Q-NXZ is in Musca Dark Region HM-V C2-28, A 2 if anyone wants a ride back to the bubble. I'll be scheduling a jump to the Khnemurt system shortly, once I scout it in my DbX. I'll let folks know when I schedule it but I'd expect that in around 7 or 8 minutes from now so you've got that plus the pad lockdown of ~10 min to get docked up for the ride if needed.

With the D rated fully engineered, the T9 outperforms a T9 with identical fitting but a A rated thrusters without engineering, though barely. With the A rated, I can boost to just over 300m/s when empty. It's a bit under that when hauling a full load. It still doesn't handle like a sports car but the higher boost means getting out of mass lock is much faster so, for me, it's worth it. I'll peek at the difference in jump range shortly.

50M reward claimed at NYSA Bulletin Board? How long will it be there as I'm guessing we have to go back to NYSA to the the FSD as well. Some things are only learned by trial and error, or is there a CG guide for idiots somewhere?

No, the FSD can be recalled to anywhere else that has outfitting and since it's a free module, it's a very minimal cost for that. As far as a CGs for beginners guide, I'd bet there is one. I'll see if I can dig it up once I set my FC's jump.

Yup, I've got a 6A Thermal 5 with 2-3 0E Resistance engineered boosters (cheap, light, doesn't eat a lot of power) on the T9 and it's enough against most NPCs.
I'll still try to evade Elite FDLs or high-end stuff like that if I can, I'm not sure about those, they have plenty of firepower.

Plus submitting and low-waking asap is actually faster than trying to evade since you won't overshoot your station and have to turn around in a damn space cow.

Edit : also engineered thrusters and/or power distributors (ie faster charge). You won't outrun many things in a loaded T9 even with engineering, but boosting asap might give you enough distance so that weapons falloff damage will help you (ie on lasers it starts at 600m)

Nop, making them fail the interdiction is far the best solution - even if you miss the station ! You forgot a "detail" - the NPC failing the interdiction will drop on normal space, and he will need several minutes to reacquire you and tempt again. In the mid time, you are already docking :p

I only accept to submit in the Cutter so I can laugh at NPC when I boost with 500+, and the Cutter have some good shields, anyway.

But the T9, well, is another story... my strategy is ALWAYS fight the interdiction, in T9... with or without shields.... Lately I run the T9 all stripped for cargo, so I can run 784 tones, BUT only for short distances and I always pay attention to interdiction. I cannot remember when some NPC manage to drop me, lol.

For long cargo runs, I bought a second Cutter, ( first one is my Miner King ! ) this one build for hull tanking and tons of shields. Is fast enough to get rid of any Pirate AND is full of MC turreted , all fully engineered,
so not only can soak a punch but also cripple any NPC. Without fuel scoop can still get a nice 704 tones - not bad for an armored and fully armed trader, tough...

Important Lesson From CG:

Use the carrier's market to help others haul. Dodgy CG destinations, and dodging interdictions are No Fun.

What's the jump range?

My main problem with T9 is it's dog jump range. I think for this CG, w/o fuel scoop you'd need to do something like 40-50 jumps (optimising for fuel). Which is about an hour each way.

With a conda (fully engineered FSD, Guardian jump extension, fuel scoop, small shields) , I was able to do a run in 20 minutes each way (7 jumps to MDR, 5 back, little fuel scooping on the way there), with close to 300 cargo . So on the per/hour cargo I'd have done about twice as much in my conda.

Your misunderstanding and misrepresentation of my positionthis might be very true, and i'm sorry for that. i really don't understand what you meant by
still not convinced this one has been available to all the Community...
in what way this CG has not been available to all the community (differently to the mathematical logic, that 100% can't be top 75% or top 25%)?
how would have been this Cg more available to all the community?

The Anaconda is my preferred ride for trips of this length. You have to trade cargo capacity for jump range, and survivability.

Unfortunately, I only have one of them, and it's my primary mining ship. Too lazy to re-configure everything. :(
