We're delighted to announce that Twitch Drops are coming to select Elite Dangerous streams! During these streams, you will be able to earn drops just by watching!

On Tuesday 24 November at 16:30 (UTC), during our Supercruise News stream, we will be testing out the Twitch Drops system for the first time, so come along to earn drops!

Once you reach the required time for a drop, you will then need to follow the URL, link your Frontier account to your Twitch account, and then claim your reward.

Here are the rewards that we will be dropping and the times for tomorrow's stream:

Watch the stream for 15 minutes to be eligible for the Vibrant Purple Paint Job.

Watch the stream for 30 minutes to be eligible for the Purple SRV & Fighter Paint Jobs.

The "elder", that are now left behind, are the ones that made this game going in its early days. While all these youngsters have little to no experience with good game design. No, I don't like it cause the game itself (not Frontier's economic situation) suffers from that. Think about it...

Online games tend to change drastically as they age.

Elite is no exception here.

"Elder"? What? Dude you were simply here to play the game earlier in its lifespan, nothing else. It doesn't make you any different from the rest of us, bar you might have a few extras thanks to Kickstarter.

I did a bit of rooting around on the twitch site, and it looks like its fairly easy to break the link again afterwards, so maybe no need to change the email addresses:

If it's anywhere industry standard, this is a cover to allow Frontier to sell your Data to Twitch and all its associates, which can then monetize that Data via its vast connected 3rd party analytica.

Welcome to social engineering/networking, big data and global analytica.
If some digital junk earned by inflating view counts is worth selling out your privacy, that's up to you to decide. Your call.
One thing you can be 100.0% sure of : neither Frontier nor Twitch have anything free to give away. They want your data, which is very valuable and earns them alot of money.

Unfortunately, someone will miss out due to such circumstances. I am afraid that's just life, and 100% coverage just doesn't exist.

I miss out on a lot because I don't have much cash to my name. It is what it is.

1. Have the stream on while you're working/sleeping, then redeem later
2. Earn ARX in-game and buy the cosmetics in-game
3. Buy ARX and buy the cosmetics in-game
