300 Million credits an hour in Taygeta system

Alas, the impression given is this game is all about making credits, instead of flying space ships 🤷‍♂️

No truer words were written.

FD- "We need new content, NOW!"
Devs-"It will take time to do it, but we can give them more CR immediately."
FD-"Make it so, Number One, do it at warp speed 10!"

Lol. I don't think he was talking about the developers ...

Taygeta is currently in Investment. Also, to get these very lucrative Missions, it seems you need to be Elite in trading, or close to it + Allied with the factions.

I hope this goldrush gets tanked when the State shifts into something else (maybe Boom can be similar).

I do think that FDev wants these goldrushes scaled with rank + State of system, but not sure if it is implemented correclty yet.

I did similar money in another Extraction system earlier and it only worked well enough when the system was in Boom (not tested Investment yet), and I was Allied with half of the factions, which took quite a lot of time because most REP missions were ++ or +++... That said, once I worked myself up in REP and got allied with 3 out of 6 factions, I got close to 150mil/ hour... Using a Python, because most of the delivery systems used Outposts (small/medium pads).

That same system is now Election, instead of Boom, and the missionboard dried out quickly, which means I have to move to a new system and work myself up in order to get a similar payout / hour.

I think that's how its supposed to work. The same experience very briefly happened with tritium trading when it first came out, and it was great fun. You're constantly on the move, and for once, it was mutually beneficial to contribute to community data. A moving goldfish is the high ground for elite.

Also I have a vague memory with missions there is some centralised idea of a common pool of missions (not considering the nature of missions that spawn active state), so in theory, if there's too many people taking the missions it might be possible that they're simply getting consumed by other players. Not 100% sure. Though ian doncaster could probably confirm :)

And then there's the hyperdictions. Have to say I'd prefer to just do Boom Times in an extraction system somewhere not everyone is and still make loads of credits.

I'm glad you posted this though. I had a quick look at the two systems and they're really interesting (and I'd never been hyperdicted before). Titan's Daughter is stunning and Cavalieri is my first Quad Hammer of Death Coriolis.

This is what I love about this game. I think the quirks of the BGS and the variety of the Stellar Forge just make it so much more alive than many other open world RPGs.

Taygeta was my favourite for some time but now its busy; the good missions seem to be there in the morning but thin out by the evening (although after the recent buff, silver is actually better than gold/palladium used to be). I've been surveying the map of the Bubble for extraction & industrial systems close together. I'm working on getting allied in a few more candidate places at the moment.

This is the part where people that dont know how the BGS and missions work chime in every few hours to cry "Its nerfed!"

I only have the vaguest understanding of the mystery that is the BGS, but even I know that what missions show up are dependant on System State, my rep and some other things - not all of which I have a handle on.

I have 2 systems I bounce between, if one is giving dud missions, the other is usually good.. Funny thing is, much of it is missions in those 2 systems, with a rare excursion close.

Hate to rain on the party...

Delivery Missions
The increase in minable commodity prices has had an unexpectedly large effect on delivery missions due to compounding multipliers, allowing large numbers of credits to be earned with minimal risk and effort. To re-focus the earnings on the effort made, the rewards for these have been changed so that the distance travelled and quantity transported has a larger effect on the pay. Payouts remain relatively high and will be monitored for any further necessary adjustments.

...This is a change long overdue though. Look forward to this being a bit better balanced... 180t of biowaste and 180t of Palladium is still 180t of commodities, and should be rewarded as such.

Not surprising.

Posting here so everyone can enjoy the credit fest; here's an explanation for it from the one that discovered it:

I still think the egg was a better exploit, wasn't it ? I won't participate on this, bounty hunting is as fun as lucrative those days.
So guys i found a really good way to make credits on elite, lets go tell everyone oppose to keeping quiet about it.

To get instantly allied, use the Road to Riches tool while you travel there. You only have to scan a few water worlds with the DSS to get enough to become allied.. It's much quicker than running missions for them. It only works for the main faction.

...and nerfed:

There goes my fleet carrier. :.-( If FDev were only that fast with gankers and for example the pulse wave scanner bug. :-(
