Moving the goal post is never a good counter argument.
They keep referring to “the sphere of combat”. What if that’s actually a sort of separate place that you have to enter or instance with people and that’s the only place where you can actually fight while on foot? Meaning you can’t just land anywhere and get out, pull out your gun and start shooting. That’s the only place to have ships shooting at you too.
I believe they just use that word as an alternative to "theatre" of combat in reference to the fact that there's ground, air, and space combat rather than other games where its just ground.
I wouldnt read too deep into it.
They actually clarified that that's not the case, and in addition there will also be an on foot CQC
