Europe: The Great Forgotten. DLC?

Frontier or a third party? I know a gamesite (RockPaperShotgun) was mentioned a lot by some users, regarding a lot of stuff. They mentioned burrowing not for PZ, exhibits won't get more detailed, bigger animals species likely to be added instead of smaller species.
Not saying it is wrong but I don't read those stories from such sites.
I'm pretty sure someone from Frontier wrote it once somewhere on the Forum

Cool, since the whole coat variation discussion a bit more curious about the sources.
Before my previous comment I searched burrow on all threads in PZ forum and not able to find it. Only 1 result with Chante and the word "burrow", but nothing to do with this.

You are correct. I can't remember exactly where but it's due to hitboxes.

That said, I don't see a reason as to why a specific enrichment item couldn't be made that would 'fake' a burrow. I had a similar idea for meerkats, since being honest a lot of zoos try and discourage excessive burrowing to avoid tunnel collapses, soil contamination, and other dangers (as well as outside predators getting in, such as cats). Many zoos will however create a pre-built burrow or tunnel system and flush it with some substrate, like fine gravel or sand or something, so the animals can still display their natural behaviours by maintaining it. Something like that would be nice in PlanZo - place down a central chamber, and then attach pipes coming off of it that the animals will use to access the central chamber.

But they could also keep Predators out if they create a deep Hole, make a Concrete Floor, of course also Walls, fill it with Earth, Sand.... and then build the Enclosure on Top of it like they would do normally 🤔
At least that's how I would do it. But I assume the other Stuff you've mentioned wouldn't make it that good of a Idea to let them burrow in such a Enclosure like they would normally 🤔

It's mostly because it's difficult to perfectly replicate the soil that the animals might dig in the wild. Meerkats for example live in very hot, dry areas, where the earth is fairly stable due to being baked in the sun. In an outdoor enclosure in a zoo, this isn't nearly as easy to replicate, because it's more than likely that the zoo will be somewhere where it rains, or gets foggy. They might also use gravel or sand as a substrate, or barkchips, instead of clay, which do not make good tunnels (my local zoo lost a meerkat due to tunnel collapse many years ago).

Anyway, my experience isn't universal, I'm just telling you what I know from my own work in zoos.
