I think what they said was we shouldn't put any store by third party release dates until Frontier have confirmed a date, which isn't quite the same thing. Given that the alpha isn't going to start until at least January, it's clear (to me at least) that there's been additional slippage (perhaps not unreasonably).April 21st is not the release date. This is used as a placeholder by Steam, didn't FDev confirm this somewhere?
I missed that and concede if that was delayed. What was the reason? Be nice if they finally started extending beta after feedback

It is very fashionable to berate Frontier, usually (apparently) by the no-hopers who consider themselves authorities on everything from Development to Marketing...

Doomsters seem happy in their doom-pits, I just tend to put the worst ones on Ignore and leave them to it - mostly I just see a series of posts telling <ignored post> to cheer up
