That is a very diverse selection of animals, oh and by the way, Mayans were a Central American society, so maybe Cambodian Temple pieces or other sorts of wood pieces.
If Frontier wanted to expand the amount of animals in a pack this year, I doubt it, but this is my idea if they chose to do ten animals per DLC, because they have plenty of time until the March, April and May, and since Sun Bear is already done and was done before the Aquatic Pack was even announced, anyway, here are the animals I have mustered to be in a South-East Asia Pack.
  1. Sun Bear
  2. Malayan Tapir
  3. Dusky Leaf Monkey or Barking Deer or Greater or Lesser Mouse Deer
  4. Clouded Leopard or a small cat, the Fishing Cat
  5. Binturong
  6. False Gharial or a bird, the Malayan Peacock Pheasant
  7. White-Cheeked Gibbon N/S or the Lar Gibbon
  8. Asian Small-Clawed Otter
  9. King or Monocled Cobra
  10. Malayan Horned Frog or the Four-Lined Tree Frog or the Malayan Giant Frog
This is just my personal list

Love that you listed the Mouse Deer as an option! It’s an animal that hasn’t been talked about much in relation to Planet Zoo, but one that I think would be a really interesting addition. Physically, it looks extremely different from the other ungulates currently in-game, not to mention that it would be only the third Asian ungulate if added. Currently we have the Bactrian Camel and Indian Rhino. Plus the game greatly needs more habitat animals on the smaller side of the spectrum!

I just added Mouse Deer to the list, the one you saw is the barking deer which I believe would be a great interspecies bonus along with the dusky leaf monkeys and mouse deer

I still say its extremely unlikely we'll get a pack focused on a specific region... at least until they get through all the general continent packs. As for my suggestions, well (I'm a bit fuzzy on what "southeast Asia" is, so bare with me)...

Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa)... the leopard with the cloudy gray spots.
Japanese Raccoon Dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides viverrinus)... the "dog" that looks like a racoon.
Lesser Mouse-Deer (Tragulus kanchil)... the smallest hooved mammal; my top pick for a mouse deer.
Malayan Tapir (Tapirus indicus)... good choice for the obligate clone animal.
North Sulawesi Babirusa (Babyrousa celebensis)... one of my biggest hopefuls.
Palawan Peacock-Pheasant (Polyplectro napoleonis)... a beautiful black, blue and silver bird.
Prevost's Squirrel (Callosciurus prevostii prevostii)... a super colorful squirrel.
Proboscis Monkey (Nasalis larvatus)... the big nose monkey.
Red-Shanked Douc Langur (Pygathrix nemaeus)... a very colorful monkey.
Western Sumatran Rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis sumatrensis)... the smallest rhino, also one of the rarest.

South East Asia is made up of Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and Sunda Indonesia, so animals from those countries or are more common in the region are often chosen such as Sun Bears, Clouded Leopards and the aptly named Malayan Tapir and Gibbons such as Siamang and Lar Gibbons.

Since Arabia and South-East Asia are the main cultural and natural regions still unexplored, and since the sun bear got leaked, I'm indeed expecting this pack in April. I don't agree with DragonNTiger about packs for all continents, simply because most continents do not fit a single theme (Asia is too big and Antarctica doesn't have enough diversity) or are already covered (African, Classic and New World refer to Africa, Europe and North-America respectively). Also, South East Asia is one of the most popular regions in the game, and the location of some popular projects, including Koali Zoo and (if I'm not mistaken) Sannikovland. With the two biggest gaps in fauna regions (Australia and South America) now filled, a SEA pack would be perfect as it also connects to other in game elements: with four new animals and the ones in game (Bornean orangutan, Komodo dragon, Indian elephant, saltwater crocodile, perhaps even Chinese pangolin and Bengal tiger), it would be easy to make a complete and realistic SEA-themed area in your zoos. In addition, new themed pieces can be connected to the Indian and East Asian themes to allow for a lot more creativity. Also animal-wise, this pack would be a great choice since it gives more diversity to arboreal animals.

My animal choice would be:
  • Bornean Clouded Leopard (less preferred by the fandom, but probably sells better than the binturong and is still really iconic).
  • Sun Bear (already leaked, so this one is pretty likely)
  • Lar Gibbon (more appealing (dimorphism) and common than the siamang, and more common and more spectacular animations than the proboscis monkey)
  • Babirusa (more iconic, and while I'd love a Malayan tapir, I don't want it to take the spot of an animal that's more unique to the game).
  • Reticulated Python would be my preferred exhibit animal. It's common in zoos and large, so appealing to guests.
This follows the logic of Frontier to focus on some common zoo species, some that add new behaviours and some that are simply iconic.

While the last pack was more focussed on new animations and low on new construction pieces, a SEA pack should have a lot of themed pieces. Some good sources of inspiration would be:
  • Ubud Monkey Forest (Bali, Indonesia): Amazing animal statues, overgrown stone buildings, cool temple pieces.
  • Angkor Wat (Siem Reap, Cambodia): Most iconic stone temple, very detailed stone pieces, also overgrown buildings.
  • Shwedagon Pagoda (Yangon, Myanmar): Most iconic coloured temple, detailed pieces as well.
  • Singapore Zoo (Singapore): Less characteristic for the region, but this is one of the nicest zoos in the world and has a very modern style, so for a zoo game it's perfect.

In addition to these themed pieces, I would expect some of the following plants:
  • Rafflesia
  • Durian Tree
  • Sago Palm Tree
  • Banyan Tree (basically a strangler fir, but they can do more with that)
  • Rambutan Tree
  • Basically more tree roots and mosses to create overgrown temples.

Since at least two of the animals in the pack will probably be arboreal, I think there's also a chance of getting new animal behaviours (sun bears, gibbons and clouded leopards would all move differently than other arboreal animals) and maybe some new climbing pieces in the free update. While it's gonna be hard to top the aquatic DLC and accompanying free update, a SEA DLC may be more complete, as it can introduce new iconic and common animals with new behaviours that allow for more creativity and can also be combined with species already in game. While new climbing behaviours may not be as revolutionary as deep diving, SEA can still compete well with the aquatic DLC if enough effort is put in creating construction pieces and new foliage.

Imo if a recticulated python was added it would be a habitat animal

I'm the only one who would like to see more animals from the northern regions of North america, Europe and Asia? Either way since that discussion is not the topic here I'll leave that to be discussed elsewhere.

I'd like to see:
  • Mouse Deer
  • Pangolin
  • Clouded Leopard
  • Banded Civet
  • Blue Crested Lizard (E)
I don't know much about southeast asian fauna as I don't even live in the area. I simply picked a few animals I though would be cool to see in PZ and that wont just be lookalikes of animals we already have (according to me). Now, we might not even see these animals as stated above since Sun Bear is leaked. But one can wish.

The general consensus is snakes are too complicated for habitat animals; they have highly specific environmental needs and are notorious escape artists... not to mention the complexity of animating their means of climbing, killing and eating.

Yeah I don't think we'll ever see snakes as habitat animals. The only one I've seen in a zoo that was not in a terrarium was an anaconda in a snake pit in a Brazilian private zoo. For this game, I think it will be most realistic to have all snakes as exhibit animals. Since the exhibits are all 4x4 m, this is already bigger than most ones in real zoos so I don't see a problem space-wise too.
