Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Finally offloaded my painite at 430k per, I didn;t have that much so profits were not that exciting. Bought some tritium, as much as it galls me to do so - I much prefer to be self sufficient and mine it but that's not exactly the most efficient method of refuelling.

I'm now en route to the bottom below the bubble to see how far I can get from where I am, then I'm going to mooch around at that depth to see what's what. Probably all going to be well trodden systems but we'll see.

While waiting for the jump, I just witnessed my carrier's defence systems blow up a ship. I wish I'd grabbed a sceeny but it was completely unexpected!
Repeat it yourself from a distance and grab a screeny.

I'm sure Your ship will recognise that it is your Good self that is testing the perimeter of Your defenses and Not fire on you.
Test :)

recon I'll be getting a fleet carrier this weekend, no reason other than just fancy a go at one
refuel/repair/armoury to start with to look after my needs, get my ships n modules in one place
bugs me though that module/mats storage is limited, really bugs me that each jump takes 20 mins, really really bugs me that I cant plot a multi jump route and let staff take care of business while I'm away
I assume it still comes with 500t of tritium?

edit: also, I assume you cannot store powerplay media shizzle?
Yes, it comes with 500t of tritium.

Can't answer your other question I'm afraid.

If your Carrier is near a station at the moment, Go Onnnn...
Buy a Default Cutter put a Nice paintjob on it, Don't request landing permission and Shoot at your Carrier. I am honestly interested in the result :)

If I had a carrier I would do it myself.

Where are you? I'll come and do it for you and you can Capture it. Unless you have already started your Journey.

Why are you buying something that annoys or bugs you SCiARA?

I'll give it a go when I'm back in the bubble. I'm currently scratching around the bottom of the bottom as far down as I can get underneath the bubble.

Just found a metallic painite hotspot with no painite. Yet.

If you find any Pods floating in space you could shoot them with research limpets then sell the samples at the CG station Jacques in Colonia for credits, global rewards and a decal.

Well, that was the most painite sparse painite hotspot ever. If I was a bertrandite or gallite miner, I'd be... a little better off.

Time to move on. Nidgiae region next where the Knights that say "ni" reside *

* I know, it's a little late but... it is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning: it is by will alone I set my mind in motion. **

I departed Oevasy SG-Y d0 on 12/31 at 12:03 AM and it took 667 jumps to complete the journey to Trinh Terminal (Tsondama). I arrived there on 1/6 at 1:16 AM.

When I started the Elite Dangerous journey more than a year and a half ago, the travel to Beagle Point seemed like a distant project when I was working my way up through earning credits and gaining experience in my unengineered Sidewinder. After I got enough credits and experience, I purchased an Adder and eventually made a 1500 LY trip and found my first undiscovered systems. Later, I purchased a DBX and made my first extended trip into the upper Formidine Rift (about 9900 LY from the bubble). This trip earned me Elite exploration a year ago.

Both the Adder and the DBX were unengineered. When I purchased Horizons, I fully engineered the DBX and then bought an AspX and fully engineered it. I visited the Formidine Rift once again with the AspX.

After a lot of grinding for credits and gaining more experience, I finally bought an Anaconda and fully engineered it for both range and good shields. My first major extended trip was to Tenebrae, where I spent 2 months last summer, and finally the 4 month trip that I just completed which covered Colonia, the Galactic Center, Mare Somnia, Acheron and the visits to Beagle Point, Procul, and Oevasy SG-Y do.

As I went through the Abyss, there were no difficulties at all regarding navigation or dead ends-the route plotter had no difficulties at all plotting routes from Acheron to Beagle Point (starting about 19000 LY east of BP) and from BP to Newton's Vault. It really helps to have an exploration vessel that can do 75.2 LY laden.

Yesterday I did some hauling missions as well as some bounty hunting. I see that the payouts for bounty hunting have gone up; I headed toward a haz-res site with a Battleconda and was able to make 24 million in a single session. Last year, I was lucky to make 5 million in a bounty hunting session of similar duration.

I wish I had the gumption to explore such distant regions. I'd love to see them but the getting there is such a slog.

Random screenie:

'Scientific' work proceeds in the Trifid Nebula.
Target, limpet, target, limpet...
Got a bit bored so started playing Space snooker with the Collared Pods.
If I decide to take these to Colonia, I have to refuel first... Hmm. And then the next CG will probably be a salvage one in the bubble.

I think Tanya's got lost at the Crystalline Shard sites. Sent orders for her to meet the Carrier to collect pods, response: 'Can I shoot them? No? Pfft'.
No further Comms recieved.😐

Tactical error there, you should have said “Yes” then explained that she has to shoot them with limpets after she has arrived.
