So I got my Imperial Courier...

The cockpit in VR is amazing...
Hi I have a question, is it viable to use websites like eddb, coriolis.io, and maybe others in VR in an overlay? I am currently using several websites and a notebook, not sure how I am going to manage in VR but stoked it's happening soon.

FYI If you are building light with EPTs, Drive Distributor will get you more speed than Drag Drives.

This is the exact opposite of what's true. Drags best for light if at or near minimum mass. Distro is more weight tolerant but slower

Edit to include link.. .

Nice bike there, put three Plasmas,Enhanced Thrusters G5 Dirty/Drag,shield it up and then make it rock!
P.S.
And leave the Cutter where it is.
I'm getting G5 Dirty on there tomorrow, do I need more mats for Drag? What does Drag do? Can I put G5 Dirty on first and then drag later? What are plasmas like haven't even tried them. Oh and deffo getting a Cutter man I like space truckin and that thing is truckin in STYLE.

Go check it on Coriolis/EDSY for yourself.

Sanders has more hours logged than most og the game in super fast ships. He knows what he's talking about :)

But you may want to go and check out Coriolis yourself to become familiar with how EPT's work and their values around weight etc. Distro dives max speed in 851 iirc... 885 is only possible with drags.

While I am not sure I will ever be able to make peace with the limitations of 3xMedium, the Courier is an absolute dream to fly and the cockpit is to die for.
It's a very small ship, I think three medium hardpoints is pretty good, and look, you can fit biweaves and run or shield tank it, it's one of the best shield tanks in the game and faster than the Vulture, which is not as good a shield tank although its large hardpoints are really good.

The only bad thing about the iCourier, IMO, is the tacky way the C2 hardpoints are fitted into the front of the nacelles.
It's just soooo clunky.

FDev should have made the effort to build them into the wing-roots somehow.
I notice that they only ever seem to align hardpoints completely horizontal or vertical, and never at any other angle, though.

Put some reverb mine launchers on it and zoom past to scare large ships :D

I made a super-lightweight 3 Cyto phasing build once that was a zoom, blast lasers close in and scoot out / repeat but was never brave enough to try it- the closing speeds would mean insta-splat if the other ship hit me....

Oculus users were able to pin websites in a VR window (I never tried) but I'd assume that reading the small print on sites like coriolis may be a little challenging.

I run my laptop alongside my PC with the interesting websites open in tabs and lift my HMD slightly if I need to peek at something. (But only spend around 40% of my play in VR as I have 2 geriatric dogs with tiny bladders!)

Can I just put a load of passenger cabins on my T9 and use it for rescue missions?
No. It's too big and cumbersome. You have to dodge debris and structures inside the station, and there are explosions that push you into loitering positions that you have to get out of quickly. You need a slim agile ship. A Python with all economy cabins or an Anaconda with half economy cabins and half cargo plus 6 collector limpets are both ideal. Don't add anything you don't need. You also need two heatsink launchers. If you want to do any engineering, aim for low power and low heat. Switch off the power distributor to save heat after putting 3 pips to engines and 3 to shields. A T7 with the same load-out as the Python below would also work if you're srapped for cash. For an all passenger build, you don't need more than about 120 passenger capacity, otherwise you'll run out of missions.

So like just a question to you iCourier guys, what do you actually use this ship for? I get it's sexy and fun to fly, I'll totally be getting one. But just looking at it's stats and hardpoints, I'm struggling to find a place where it fits into how I play Elite.
