COMPLETED CG Protect the Marlinist Food Deliveries (Bounty Hunting)

Doing it the hard way with no res sites... dam jitter on the corvettes beams just goes right around the eagles target... Moving over to unlimited ammo Cobra mark 3 now with the rail guns...

So.. is the difficulty of the bounty CG intended?
  • No RES
  • No installations
  • The megaship doesn't spawn attack scenarios(?)
  • The faction only controls one system
  • No nav beacon (!)
  • No missions nearby with pirate massacre/assassinations that target the system
Also: according to the galaxy map, this system has a population of 0

Leaving us with:
  • KWS
  • Continually dropping in to the rings to spawn 0-3 pirates then returning to supercruise and repeating
  • Supercruise interdictions
  • A few random wanteds at the megaship
  • Random missions that have enemies sent against you
This is a lot more difficult to get bounties than previous CGs (which may not have had Haz RES, but had installation attacks and/or missions nearby). Is this intended? Or have I missed an option?

And Elite ranked black box salvage missions from other nearby systems to HIP 22550, what spawn Threat 4 USS with a wing of pirates. :)
 
So many ways around this.. And it did happen in other CGs. There is always a work around. For instance like the poster above me.

Delivery mission also work great.
 
Found that spamming donation missions in the nearby systems often result in a follow-on mission with "Assassinate XY from AB faction" (it works on non-anarchy target factions wonderfully). Targets are Corvettes or Anacondas. If its not HIP 22550, then just exit from the mission board and reenter, and the target system randomly changes (in ~3 secs).
Lottery and boring, like the ring in-out jumps, but works.
 
Im sure we will see some modifications on the BH CG tomorrow or the T5 target 240.000.000.000 will stay on an impossible level.
 
So unless FDev change something this CG is an exercise in futility for a prize that is useless, or am I missing something?

I appreciate that the collectors and completionists will want a new shiny toy anyway (even if they're not going to use it) and the role-players will get a warm fuzzy feeling helping to feed the Marlinists (unless they really are role-playing stone cold bounty hunters), but it does seem like FDev have forgotten to add some pirates for us to hunt :unsure:
 
what system are you getting the missions from?

A circle of HIP 23155 - HR 1480 (46 bodies!) - Apuris - HIP 21066. The best chance to get them at HIP 23155.
Lottery! If you have a donation mission appear in every 10 minutes, then ~40% chance on a follow-on, then 50% chance to get a deliver/assassinate mission. You need to wait in stations, so playtime is needed for this. Money is not a problem, as the sum of rewards will be higher at the end (bounty+mission reward+CG reward) compared to the investments.

You are missing that the prize isn’t useless.

True it isn’t going to be an overpowered standout bit of equipment but it will be a useful addition for anyone who fits PD turrets anyway, and I refuse to believe I am unique in fitting them to a wide range of ships.
 
Would massacre pirates missions from CG controlling faction give bounty vouchers valid for CG progress?
