I'm not willing to disclose the system name, but it is a very low traffic system in a very low traffic area.
I remember when I flipped my first system, it felt amazing. I did a superpower flip (from Empire to Federation), and it reminded me of a game of Othello on a galactic level. I played this "game" a couple more times before I realized the pointlessness of it all. I later joined a proper squadron / group where we did organized ops to extend our control on the galaxy - it ended up feeling more like a job than a game. After that I lost all interest in BGS.Well, thanks for nothing then.
Fwiw, I had a look at your faction on Inara, 120+ members, present in 114 systems of which you control 104.
Edit - and that's just one PMF your squadron seem to be supporting, there are more with similar stats.
As a lone CMDR trying to dip my toes into the BGS here and there my sympathies have just dropped like a lead balloon.
I'm going to have to be honest with you, I've been playing this game for 5 years, consider myself at COMPETENT NERD level depth within the Elite rabbit hole, and still don't really properly understand how PP really works - whenever I try to read up on it my mind drifts away quickly... and if the associated gameplay wouldn't be so grindy/repetitive in nature I would probably get into it... it's still on my bucket list... but it feels like as a lone CMDR there's really not much point beyond unlocking the PP modules.FD can design these things out by making missions less linear- AFK problems stem from Powerplay using old CZ mechanics matched with heal beams and engineering. Make PP CZs use modern mechanics (i.e. set amount of enemies to win rather than unending) and the problem is solved.
PP fortifying can be solved by making the A to B more random- here is an idea I had from a PP proposal:
By not having defined end points to runs / missions bots can't work (not unless you employ a meatbag to be a Nexus 6 or something).

This is not supposed to be a mocking post as I know how close PP is to your heart, but I wish FD would make it a bit more accessible. /broken record scratch
No-one is baiting you. Surely you don't believe everything you read online without checking some details yourself, do you?I'm ducking out now I think. All I'm seeing is posts trying to bait me into inviting the griefers to the system.
Can you not just .. like... take a job at Frontier to sort this out? Whenever I read your posts I think to myself "yeah I'd play that"I get what you meanBut the issue really with bots is that they thrive in activities that have little variation in them. Powerplay is the most vulnerable because the parts where players and NPCs spice things up can be avoided (in the former but lets not go there
) or are absent with the latter. As I said earlier, if point to point was more random bots could not work, and by design protect against them (while making Powerplay more involving).
After butting heads with a prominent botter numerous times across the bubble, I'm beginging to wonder if maybe I should just say screw it and learn how to build a bot army of my own. If FDev can't/won't stop anyone else, why would they bother to stop me? Their unwillingness to confront these players, is all the justification I think I'd need to start to fighting fire with fire. Not sure I can do it. I defo won't feel good about it, but what other option have I been left with?
The OP has PM'd me the link of the thread in question, I promised to keep it to myself so won't share, but what I can say is that it does look ominous without being clear cut all the same. And I agree with the OP that sharing the link would pretty much be akin to naming & shaming as it's pretty obvious who's involved.No-one is baiting you. Surely you don't believe everything you read online without checking some details yourself, do you?

Passion compared against a "That'll do" attitude...Whenever I read your posts I think to myself "yeah I'd play that"
If you burn the burnables before the blaze can you can control the path of fire or stifle it. Now trying to extinguish a fire with petrol (a liquid just like water is) is a completely different thing.hmm... how does fighting fire with fire work exactly? because the fire department usually use water....
yeah but its like fixing a sinking ship by draining the ocean. If you burn the burnables before the blaze can you can control the path of fire or stifle it. Now trying to extinguish a fire with petrol (a liquid just like water is) is a completely different thing.
Situational. Think of it useful in a chokepoint. Culling livestock populations to stifle disease spread is similar.yeah but its like fixing a sinking ship by draining the ocean.
