COMPLETED CG Enhanced Missile Rack Initiative (Mining)

From the initial description of the goal - it looks like the double engineered module will be purchasable from tech brokers for the list of resources, the incentive to reach higher tiers will be to make the cost of each engineered module cheaper. So you'll need to pay each time for each module, which is the same as having to 'spend' resources to engineer purchased modules...
But it looks to be fewer resources than required to do a normal G5 module.

Hello,
I delivered 300 tons of Bromellite but contribution is still on 0 tons. I delivered them in the AWYRA station. Anyone knows what's up with that?

Just to recap the obvious as this sort of question gets asked every CG;

- Did you sign up to the CG prior to selling at the CG station?

- Did you MINE them or BUY them from a nearby FC, only MINED goods count

- Did you look in transaction panel? That takes awhile to update, better to check the CG progress via the mission board as that should update as soon as you contribute.

Failing it been one of those 3 let us know and I'll think a bit harder, but they're the most obvious ones I can think of atm.

-I signed up before delivering
-I bought them, CG does not specify that only mined goods are valid. It says " To support the initiative, shipments of bromellite, lithium hydroxide, osmium and samarium can be delivered to the Awyra Flirble starport in the Eurybia system." and also " To be eligible for rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Bromellite, Lithium Hydroxide, Osmium and Samarium at the Awyra Flirble starport in the Eurybia system."
- It's been an hour of logging out and back in, refreshing the mission board and the transaction panel.

Any idea if the goods have to be mined after the start of the CG, or could they have been mined by myself in the previous few weeks?

You need to mine them

Got the big MINE icon not Trade icon on it... so yep mined only does not matter when...
Dont use the market on FC to transfer to ship it may be quicker but that can count as trading..

Thanks, have got a few tons in the hold:)
Will try tomorrow
Carrier view open, link in sig

While I am still skeptical of the whole double engineering power creep, this is a step in the right direction. If FD do this for all the previous modules as well and then, going forward, all new double-engineered modules are introduced in this manner right away as permanent additions for everyone (top 75% get it for free, the rest have to unlock it from a tech broker), I'd say that is a fair solution.
Gets my vote too. Power creep is another problem but for me the biggest one is unicorn gear that only the lucky few who were able to game for a small window. Doing this for all current special gear would be a big step I right direction. I would love to get the special scanning golf balls but real life, work and childcare meant there was no way I could game.

Apart from this...
Imma link this again...
Thanks, I hadn't seen that. I guess it's fair, if engineering yourself you'd have to pay the meterials each time too.
But it looks to be fewer resources than required to do a normal G5 module.
Even fewer when you consider it's two blueprints, and none of the materials is a grade 5 one.

The CG text definitely says " The engineer Liz Ryder has requested mined materials to help make a previously unique ship module widely available."

Very much so! When I saw the Twitter announcement I first thought 'No, they're creating a have and have not situation' - which never goes well for a community and can often generate a bit/lot of toxicity'.

If this is a way forward where these items are open to all (with the event or requisite grind :) ), then thank you FD. (y)

When I step out into open play and get my backside well and truly handed to me (not pessimistic, just a realistic certainty :p ), I won't be thinking about what type of advantage someone had because they have played longer than me and have access to better equipment - nope, I'll know either I wasn't as ready as I thought I was, or the other guy was just better. <O

Is this all about (only) Class 2 racks or will Class 3 also be available after the CG for unlock/purchase?

Any ideas what happens if you...
Mine 50 tons of stuff.
Store it in your carrier.
Buy 50 tons from another carrier.
Store it in your carrier.
Take 100 tons from your carrier.
Hand in 100 tons at the CG.

Variations could include adding the mined stuff after the bought stuff and varying the proportions.

I guess there's only one way to find out. Science!

Only 50 t will count for CG. You can check in Inara - Your CMDR name > Fleet and Modules > Fleet Carrier name > Cargo. If Value is not 0, it will not count for CG.
If Inara can recognize this, obviously it's in the game as condition for CG.

i think that kinds of what happened to me (early in this thread), in the end i had a contribution of 69t for 400t.
still - if you have no mined commodities on your FC before at all, a clean test would be very interesting to read (i have no idea how much of the commodities i have mined and transferred, mined and sold to myself, or bought from another carrier and transfer to stock for BGS manipulation).

it is my understanding you should end up with a contribution of 50T, but it is hard to see how FDEV implemented that (the transaction uses an average purchase price for bulk sales afaik).

I shall be later today arriving in the close vicinity and giving this a partial test, I have on my carrier a quantity of personally mined material that has only been transferred from mining ship to carrier via the transfer button, all of this material was mined over the last month.
