Slave Carriers Update

Actually, when you think about it, FD have presented, what I consider to be, this sort of hypocritical stance all along. As Leo mentioned earlier, the game references drugs, yet you can get a ban on this forum, a forum about a game with drug references, for referencing drugs on it. Ask me, I know.

So that you can get banned from a game that allows you to trade in slaves because you made slaves of other players, should come as no shock.

This entire situation could have been an integral part of the Crime & Punishment overhaul that is so desperately needed, what what?

The 'enslaved' Cmdrs could have used in game systems to file reports of their bondage to the interstellar space filth and the story could have be driven forward.

This has been a great opportunity lost by Fdev.

Tatty bye and a very stiff upper lip old beans, what what

PS.
Port and Cigars anyone?

But this is too funny really. I wonder what Polygon would make of ED being a game that has:

Implied torture
'Re-education'
Executions of prisoners, slaves
Swindling (Denton)
Mass deception / propaganda
Grave robbing
Looting
Drugs...lots of drugs
One power (The King™) who is like the scariest Mexican drug cartel using spaceships, who sends prisoners (marked slaves) to be executed / eaten
One power (Granny) who uses better looked after slaves to mine- so is an epic troll of this fleet carrier racket.
Corporate hypocrisy
Genocide
Xenocide
Mass starvation
Bio warfare (i.e. inducing plagues)
Murder
Piracy
Mass surveillance (Grom)
Dictatorships (like, half a galaxy of them)
Inducing coups

Polygon would curl up and cry under the bed if they knew the true utter horror of the game.

Going to film myself blowing up 700t of Slaves now, see if i can't create the next big controversy.

Did not bally well realise Polygon was still a thing, what what?

I thought they would have had the decency to take the long walk into the sweet night years ago.

Oh well, I guess they are looking for new whipping boys, what what

"Deceiving and exploiting other players"

You wanna talk about deceiving players? Let's look back at the time we were supposed to get transported to a permit locked area on the Gnosis, but Fdev decided to drop thargoids on us instead.

Then we were penalized for fighting the thargoids via no fire zone fines, or killed by the Gnosis because of a wayward shot-- all while players and the megaship itself were being swarmed by thargoids.

To top it off, if you died, you were transferred to a detention facility like 1500ly away.

Whatever your opinion of these players are, I can say for certain they've given us more excitement than Fdev has lately-- assuming we can even play the game for more than 20 minutes without instancing issues or error codes.

Quit punishing emergent gameplay-- player-driven solutions exist for this situation, let us use them.
Quite right cmdr.........Remember the Gnosis!!

As I posted the other day, that debacle told us NOT TO TRUST OWNER'S OF CARRIER'S, as their intention's aren't always as it appears............& that was loooooooong before anyone could purchase a Carrier;).

It's a game, in a few month's time we're gonna be jumping out from behind rocks & shooting player's in the head. There has & will be worst things that happen in ED than this 'slavery' b.s.
Some people never learn......be careful what you wish for........a carebear version of ED will be the death of the game for sure!

Hmm. Is this true??

It does seem a bit iffy to me to punish the carriers in this way. By all means warn victims .. as Galnet has and I understood a number of rescue missions had gone out .. but if I hatch break a Commander and sell his hard mined Void Opals to a blackmarket, am I exploiting another player under the TOC's too?

Fine, carriers are persistent cross platform and across game modes - so it's not a direct open play hatch break - but somehow the carriers themselves managed to communicate the "opportunity" or people would never boarded. Can you really be considered to be playing in solo, if you accept that invitation from a player and then board a player owned carrier?

The other day, I was busy finishing orf some needle point of the final battle of the second breville toaster war. I was so caught up in my work that my bally tea went cold.

As I peered at the now tepid golden nectar, I noticed that a thin film of scum had developed on the very top of the liquid. The only thing to cross my mind at that point was 'Bloody Carriers'.

I find it amusing that you're so anxious for some drama that you've gobbled it up, including hand, arm and shoulder, from the sole person offering it up without any evidence that:

1) it's actually happened or
2) of any facts made in the alleged decision made by frontier in relation to individuals (you know nothing yet feel it's appropriate to judge the outcome) or
3) of any details of individual conduct to other players

Let alone the laughable stance that the - currently 100% imaginary, not confirmed, unspecific, lacking full details - events being described are somehow equatable to the game's slavery or piracy or - most ludicrous - pvp.

But whatever makes you whole.

Evidence? Facts?
