I've know Red Anders since 2012 and nothing this melt says about his character chimes with the man I know. He'd be the first to chime in with condemnation towards any form of misconduct like trolling a cancer patient. He didn't because the events that took place are far different from those Starshot is trying to portray.

Yeah you're quite right :D I just find it hilarious to point out fallacies and known pitchforking behaviour in posts like these. And yes while I can't say I "know" Red Anders, his posts are usually logical and on point without trolling attempts exhibited by his current interlocutor.

I'm not going to waste an hour of my life watching The Pilot vid. I assume you mean they kicked the suspecting players out of discord and thus preventing them from informing other players about the freewinder exit. Because you literally CANNOT prevent someone from typing something into google via computer game means...

I'm truly amazed that so many use that as a defense of the slavers actions. It's a game, you can't "lose" things in pixels, etc etc. Truly intriguing perspective.

I guess I should ask simply: Do you believe a game should have ANY rules at all, whatsoever, regarding player behavior?

Right why actually hear from the slaver himself when you can just claim others are misinformed by a Polygon article and grabbing our pitchforks....

Yes I think they were cultivating whatever percentage of new xbox elite players that were to stupid to search themselves. He pretty much explicitly admitted to this around the end. Its the way he said it too. I was cringing from both the slaver and the pilot the whole way but it was very clear by the end. The slaver had no idea he was getting duped into admitting what he was doing and pilot had his "angry girlfriend" voice on for the whole time.

They even threatened to do something in game in the future that would make the slaving seem trivial. Not exact words. It was actually a direct threat to elite game.

Yeah I don't get you at all. You know full-well what you are implying by calling another man a "pearl clutcher" but when I defend myself, I'm the bad guy and you pull the innocent routine? Anyway, I have zero motivation to get anyone to think anything about you good or bad. At all. What do you even mean? You are not my enemy sir, nor do I view you as one or wish you to be one.

You just simply refuse to give any quarter to the opinion that there should be any rules governing player behavior because 'it's a game'. You have a right to an opinion, I have the right to not agree with that.

I've explained that earlier in the thread, due diligence and all. Surely if you want me to watch an hour long vid, you can use the search function. I have enough hours in this game to understand exactly what he bad, bad slaver did from the OP, find it hilarious that he found people dumb enough to fall for it and that it was 100% within the game's sandbox mechanisms. I don't need to watch a 4chan kid brag about it in their typical 4chanish way.

I also think Fdev's reaction was unsubstantiated unless we don't know something like real money scam attempts or somesuch. And it shows an increasing "blaze your trail our way" policy which I frankly despise as being hypocritical and schisophrenic. For the record I am a solo scum, and my impressive stack of pvp kills (around 3 if memory serves) were done in Open Powerplay, so yeah, you might try to throw "powerplay ganker" in the mix of :poop: you try to sling, be my guest :D

But I and others have been accused of ignorance of the facts and it's falsely claimed our opinions are based on a Polygon article. When the accusers have no actual knowledge if we read the article or not . But when the guy who did the whole thing gives an interview, you can't be bothered to watch it? And that's just okay? Certainly the guys own explanation of this is one of THE most important sources we have available.

Something about that doesn't seem very...I don't know, fair or honest.

Crappy low foresight programmers should be held accountable before bans...while simultaneously removing any elements of piracy encouraged activities. While your at it frontier ensure all future copies of elite come with a lifetime supply of bubble wrap!

I was banned for the mere mention of drugs (only in reference) with a game that actually has active slave trading....hypocrisy!

Why is there no option to remote return in such situations??? Like ship transfers Does that sound complicated frontier?!

Kinda makes sense why multiplayer doesn't work well. newtonian physics doesn't gel well with weak thought that tries to Arbitrarily shield experiences.

From this aspect fdev your philosophy is all wrong for anything pirate related! Odyssey will be sterilized with no emergent gameplay. One way to do anything and only that one thing for fear of us enjoying ourselves beyond scripted paths....I grow weary with each passing month. Grow a pair or two, meanwhile you have been awarded the super plushie toy with rounded edges for your safety and others with a bullhorn that only emits whispers...lol
