I've been told that when there is instancing issues you need to blow on something.
Router possibly?

Whats that a (ex) Ganker justifying combat logging? well I never.
Perhaps the end of those few days ganking ended up with them on the receiving end of it...
But yes, Menu logging is perfectly legal in the middle of combat, just considered bad form.

Personally, I have absolutely nothing against ganking. In fact, I think it livens up the game. In fact, I even tried it for a few days and thankfully erasing notoriety was so easy I still do it nowadays. These days I don't limit myself to killing opposing CMDRs, I simply blow up everyone.Personally, I have absolutely nothing against ganking. In fact, I think it livens up the game. In fact, I even tried it for a few days but erasing notoriety was such a pain that it was just not worth it. These days I limit myself to killing CMDRs that are pledged to a hostile power.
On average about 30% of the people I chase, simply log out to menu. Guess what. I am perfectly fine with that! I even tell them that it is completely within the rules for them to do so as stated here:

Let nobody else tell you otherwise! Do I do it myself? If I meet obnoxious gankers, yes... most definitely I will mess with them.. as I know it will trigger them even more than destroying their Vette. These days a rebuy means absolutely nothing.
Now I do understand the other side of the story as well. PvP is pretty much hardly playable as it is even now even without logging out. With a G5 engineered FDL (which most PvPers fly) the only way to fight until death is to pretty much agree before hand.. otherwise it is easy to escape even after few minutes of fighting.
For those that want to decrease the number of people logging off while in combat/interdicted I would suggest a different approach. Ask people nicely not to do it, don't throw a tantrum just because you can't play the game by the rules. If a CMDR that is actively trying to kill me asks me nicely not to log out or even high-wake I am much more likely to cooperate than a CMDR that is spewing hate towards me for playing the game within the rules given by FDEV.

If I meet obnoxious padblockers or explorers or people in CGs, yes... most definitely I will mess with them.. as I know it will trigger them even more by destroying their 3D shielded Asps. These days destroying their 3D shielded Asps is even easier with thermal conduit.

Luckily open is by far the most played mode of all, and every day we get an influx of new players to blow up in their unengineered builds at Farseer base. I don't even ask their permission to blow them up, because "or even hunt other CMDRs" is in the game description.

And you're propably totally fine with this, because you totally deserve a complete risk free gameplay and don't give any thoughts about what this did to piracy or legit PvP.lol, I don't have overcharged frags... Also if you start the exit to Menu process at the beginning of an interdiction, there is no way anyone can kill you quickly enough.
Yep, just boredAre you OK?

I know I know, it's your right to log. Just remember it's every gankers right to blow you and everyone up if they can get you

I might have gone with Goodnight Sweetheart, more your era.Do these type of threads require their own theme tune?

I've been finding that feature quite an eye opener. You can see what really triggers people. We've got to test out the new 'similar threads' feature thoroughly..
It's going to open the door to some top tier necro'ing for sure.I've been finding that feature quite an eye opener. You can see what really triggers people.

Who is the jerk by the way?
- the player playing a game by a ruleset which allows other players to get blown up?
- the player who calls a subset of the community jerks?
