The vaccine was 92% effective at preventing severe disease after two shots and 62% after one. Its estimated effectiveness for preventing death was 72% two to three weeks after the first shot, a rate that may improve as immunity builds over time.

It seemed as effective in folks over 70 as in younger people.

Article says that there are variants present in the population. Vaccine is crushing them.

Astra Zeneca is a not good vaccine.

It is not very effective and in addition the side effects are painful. High fever, strong aches, strong headache.

I will refuse without hesitation an injection of this vaccine.

100% is a version (Especially since here your version comes directly from the laboratory. We've never seen a baker say his bread is bad )

There are many other versions more objective in the medical world.

as of now I don’t need a mask where I am, if they make it a law to wear a mask all the time I will be a criminal from day one as I don’t apply to such regulations or laws.

tell me, I’ve talked to some of my old buddies who still travel and one of then got the C19 and all he had was mild symptoms like getting a flu, he didn’t drop dead and he’s in his 60’s? He got tested twice and both test was positive? He was not hospitalized as he refused and just stayed home until he recovered, I wonder how many had it just like he did and never was tested?

No one around here use a mask and we’re not sick. Well zack got the flu in November and I had to help him feed the critters and mrs lysan made his supper but he was back a week later. Life is good!

Hard to sicken or kill others by going to bed or walking in the woods. Driving can certainly threaten others, but that's why people take precautions, like following the mutually understood rules of the road, and using good judgement to avoid collisions with others.

Using a mask when distancing is impractical during an outbreak of a respiratory pathogen is little different from driving on the right side of the road, or moving over for cyclists or pedestrians. Even if I'm not worried about damaging my car, or the potential legal trouble of a hit and run, it's a trivial thing to do to just not drive through others.

They don't need to make it a law. Shops and service providers can just implement their own rules and deny service to anyone who refuses, see restaurant/club dress codes for an example. If you refuse they chuck you out, if you refuse to leave they get the cops to chuck you out, if you then refuse/fight the cops will arrest or fine you. Maybe it would be better to just wear a mask and avoid all that whilst also protecting yourself (and others) from infection given there's a respiratory virus pandemic going on.

Airlines are already signing up to vaccine passports along with some countries, BA are already in their second week of trialing them. Again this has precedents in visa's/travel insurance requiring immunisations, nothing new. Masks are already a requirement for air travel.

Soon I'll be able to visit the European half of the family again without quarantine or risking their lives. That's progress.

We do have shops and stores here where you don’t need a mask, so my life is the same, and I won’t be traveling any day soon. Unless things around here do 180 life will pretty much be as it always was post C19

There is much more real world data now and the AZ vaccine is very effective.

The problem in France and Germany is governments attacked the vaccine they couldn’t get enough of to distract people from their mistakes and now the damage to public confidence is done.

Germany is trying to undo the damage don’t already because people won’t take it. Loads of people in the U.K. have had it. Far more than in any of the trials and it’s proven to be safe and work. It’s true you’re more likely to get side effects for a few days but that’s hardly a big deal vs the consequences of not vaccinating enough people.

You do know some states made it illegal to require the use of a mask? You can ask people to use it, but it can’t be mandatory.

On my property, it's mandatory. If someone doesn't like it, all I can promise is that my response time is much faster than that of the police.

I understand but high fevers, strong body aches, strong headaches, not for me.

I experienced this sort of thing during my military service.

I prefer to see for another vaccine (if I get the vaccine in one year or two).

And if in one year the collective immunity is reached in my country, I say thanks to all the vaccinated.
