You can easily make enough money to buy an FAS after a single bounty run.
One already has the Bally thing, what what
It is not about the prize, it about the prestige.
Toodly pipsky

Neither of us is "right" or "wrong" we are just different people.
Nor did I mean to imply you had, but I do see that kind of thinking in many posts here. Thanks for the civil conversation. o7.I never meant to imply any right/wrong dichotomy, didn't even occur to me anyone would see it that way, but I can see I touched a nerve. Wasn't my intention. o7
It doesn’t even take skill, per se, to be in the top 10. All it takes is just lots and lots of play time.
it takes something else. i just looked at the bracket (to realize my 10% is clearly at risk): it's between 800mill and 1,5billion.
without pp bonuses that is at least 10k kills. in 5-6 days. let that sink in.
this is beyond "free time". there are at last 10 people here who either use bots/exploits or need professional help.
Exactly. I bet virtually all of them have ships they feel are much better than a FAS at bounty hunting. To be honest, I had a good chuckle at that reward myself. While I see the nice idea behind it, I doubt anyone who can compete within the Top 10 bounty hunters really needs (let alone wants) a FAS anyway
Or they are in lockdown or furlough and have found a way to fill their time as ripping the head of it got too boring and repetitiveit takes something else. i just looked at the bracket (to realize my 10% is clearly at risk): it's between 800mill and 1,5billion.

honest, the numbers are just shocking. maybe i forgot to factor in multi-crew and its christian miracle of multiplication of fish and bounty? that would maybe divide everything by 4? no idea. i really hope there is an exploit and they're all botters and cheaters. i would be fine with that. any other explanation is just too sad.Oh crap, this thread could devolve into a botting argument - now you've gone and done it mate!![]()
I wish it had been a Special FAS, the numbers woulda been through the roof.Let's face it, no-one is doing it for the FAS, that's just a thematically appropriate cherry. It'll probably be a 'free' Clipper next week when the Imps are running security.
I like the FAS gift if only as a bit of flavour for the CG galnet article that will surely follow

I hoped they'd maybe learned their lesson from the Mk IV, I was never a Cobra fan I actually worked my way to a FAS originally way back when when it was a feasible ship with great maneuverability a great hull but crap shields and jump range. An exclusive, never to be repeated, FAS mk II. Slower and fatter than the original but infinitely saltier than the Cobra IV
10 Cobra IV’s.I wish it had been a Special FAS, the numbers woulda been through the roof.

It doesn’t even take skill, per se, to be in the top 10. All it takes is just lots and lots of play time. I’ve been playing about an hour or so per day and I’m firmly in the top 10%. If I would have played 10x as much I’d have 10x the bounties, simple as that. There’s no real challenge to it, so I don’t see the motivation.
10 Cobra IV’s.
Have a problem with your exclusive ownership being threatened!? Better monopolize the top 10 to keep those dirty post Horizons players in their lesser place!
You might be on to something.
