SO TIRED of trying to find Pharmaceutical Isolators & Military SuperCaps

I think you are missing the point. The material trader is frontiers response to these g5 materials that are too hard for novice pilots to find. you ranting and raving about something that the game easily provides for you if you just take the time to think isn't anyone's fault but your own. I don't mean to come off as rude but you've already started being rude to the people offering you helpful suggestions, even if they are a little condescending. got to keep in mind the people here from all parts of the world so maybe the way that they type something might sound a way different than they mean it when you read it to yourself with your own voice inflection
Not so easily provided because the loss is just ridiculous, but...

I’ve been playing since January 2016 and frontier have said multiple times over the years that they would fix the HGE problems (sometimes certain mats dissapeared completely for weeks), instead they gave in to player demands and added traders.
This exactly! Stuff unobtainable for months. Certain states missing for months etc. Frontier made a deal with Microsoft and Sony years ago that said all platforms would have the same version of the game. Previously frontier could update the PC version whenever they wanted for a bug fix but are now constrained by the cost and paperwork of console updates. If a bug appears in an update and doesn’t get packed in the first couple of hot fixes then it will be there for a long time.

This is no excuse for them not to fix the problem. Its a lazy cop out or (hopefully not) an excuse to blame consoles for something.

I'm usually against unearthing a year or more old thread, but in this case, it makes sense to underscore how long bugs and playability problems stay around in the game without being addressed.
Idk. OP was whining about not getting enough of endgame rare items which isn't actually that big of a deal for the vast majority of players. There is an entitled minority that believes they should immediately get whatever it is they want to get. They post a lot. You getting a bounty of G5 materials is neither a bug or playability problem.

Elite rated Anaconda Pirates / Contract Killers are my favourite, and reliable, source of PI etc. I appear to run into quite a lot of them for some reason...

OP I know its tough I spent an hour looking for Pharm Iso HGE, but once you get one with decent time remaining you can farm it repeatedly, there is a logging trick you can do. I managed to get 70 Pharm Iso's in a 10 min HGE, so I'm done for awhile. I did that for all the HGE mats (took an hour or less to get about 70 for most of em) and then as other said max rep missions for factions give you easy Biotech conductors and perfect focus crystals. I'm currently sitting on about 50+ of each g5 mat, and loads of others because you get so much trading down in the same category.

I also disagree that it should be easier, this game isn't a short term easy go game. You are supposed to have to put in effort to upgrade your ship, it's and RPG where your ship is your character.

I have an idea to make finding these items easier, but I need help from someone with SQL or CVS experience. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...th-multiple-factions-in-a-given-state.565522/

If inara, eddb.io, or any of the other database websites enabled us to to search for systems with multiple factions currently in a state, then sort them by this metric, it would make finding these items easier. For example here's a list of systems, sorted by the number of factions in a state of outbreak. (this information is outdated)

nameoutbreak_count
HIP 202773
Calennero2
Nuenets2
Smethells 1192
18 Puppis2
LHS 28132
Thanatos2
Onileut2
LTT 171492
Turbacobo2
Gadagese2
Samontundji2

or for example, here's a system with a lot of factions in civil unrest:

As a matter of fact, I only found the MS because Inara allows you to sort systems (high tech systems) with two factions at war. So, here's one for ya.

OK. at 6:1 for grade 5, the traders are a joke.

the fact of the matter is this: all other grade 5 mats are available except Pharmaceutical Isolators. I would add Military Grade Alloys to this, but apparently they are out there.

If you can't find it the same as other Grade 5 mats, then it shouldn't be a grade 5 mat. You make it the same or you make it something else. Is there any logic here????

If you can trade mats, why can't you just buy them? Again...there is no logic to this game.

Prior to the rework, PIs could be found. Now, no chance in hades.

And let me add something about these signal sources. It is STUPID when you pop into a system and find an HGE. Then to see its 200,000Ls away and there is only 2 minutes left. Whomever thought this would be better than the old way is a monumental idiot.

Games should be fun. This is not fun. It is stupid. There is enough stupidity in the world right now. I come here to escape for a few hours. I took a 15ish month break after they did the stupid planet scanning thing because it is more tedious now. Looks like another break is needed. Permanent perhaps. God help online games if we ever win the right to sell our accounts.

This is your problem - you don't actually know how many you need (no-one does, it's RNG based). Staring at numbers leads to grinding leads to rage posts.

I know this will cause you to rage more but .. you need to chill and play the game rather than grinding. Build some rep locally so they'll give you the good missions with the mat rewards, then go off do some assassination missions (for instance) that give mat rewards. They require you to scan nav beacons to find targets - which means you can see if there are any HGEs in the system, kinda nice for getting mats, and then you get to kill the mission targets - who (now you are allied) will probably be Elite and drop yet more mats. Mix it up with some planetary scans which also reward mats and give data mats from the scans. While you are heading to all these mission targets scan any local ships ... for mats.

And leave the grinding for DTEA ;)
dumbest post ever????

i know EXACTLY how many mats i need.

Ok sport...I want to play the game. I want to build a corvette to do PvE. I need to engineer it as well. Engineering requires mats. I go get those mats. But some of those mats are unobtainable unless i trade for them at a ridiculous trade rate. all of a sudden, the game becomes tedious. i say the heck with it and go find a more enjoyable way to pass the time. another player leaves the game. the game is left with people like you that would be content to do what the developers tell you to do. well....you keep on, lemming.
