News flash: No CGs this week

Due to the unprecedented events in Sol, Achenar, Alioth, Lave and other systems today (Galnet article), the Community Goals coordinators have been a little distracted so there will be no CGs this week. Please see Galnet for more details on how to help with the current situation and hopefully things will return to normal soon.

:-(

Gee that's too bad, I would have loved to see how 7 billion people get rescued from Lave Station in an evacuation CG
You can head over and help out

remembering ofc that people in 3307 still live on planets, so there probably won't be anything like 7 billion on Lave Station ...

It's a nice change - like with the Interstellar Initiatives all weeks don't have to be CGs - there are the rescues & salvage (and ranking) this week. And maybe the AdamastorII will step up a gear 😈

I was fully expecting something like that. There couldn' be a third week sponsored by the Alliance and then the summit just ends. That's no interesting narrative.
And it's brilliant. When the summit was announced, many expected it to go wrong immediately. Then nothing out of the ordinary happened for two weeks, and many thought it would go on like that.

Kumo unofficial CG: Deliver Occupied Escape Pods to the Fleet Carrier 'Larry Niven'.
They will be well looked after. Honest.:devilish:
That reminds me, is the price drop as a result of saturated "demand" (ugh) of escape pods and the like at the rescue ships still a thing? In which case it'd make more sense to stock up on them via FCs and 'sell them off' elsewhere. Unless the SAR missions spawn, of course. They're good for those.

I was actually expecting the NMLA would attack Patterson Enterprise and this week's CG would be rescuing summit attendants from the damaged station.

That would have been interesting.

It was a joke.

Because CG progress is easily visible and in the last two weeks we obviously shot down a billion pirates in and around Sirius.
Pirates grow on trees, after all. Either that or they are rabbits.

They also mention that the planned BH activity has been cancelled so I hope they told the Pirates to stay away as well or Sirius is gonna be a hell-hole by next Thursday :)

Yes, I believe that is still the case. Not logged in so can't check. There are missions, they don't last long before the mission board is wiped though.

I might consider building a stock pile of escape pods and other items actually - give creepy Etienne a run for his money.

grab the salvage too.. You can complete missions with it in the rescue station
Yeah I usually farm them each time I enter (got enough heatsinks installed on my rescue ship for that reason), both cargo and mats as well because why not.

The problem is that depending on how popular a rescue ship is, the mission board might dry up so you end up with stockpiles of goodies you have to end up handing in for buttons (due to the above mentioned supply/demand pricing issue). That should really be exempt from rescue items imo as it doesn't make sense.
