You can now link your Xbox account to EDSM.net to log your journeys!

Thank you, I will give that a try! I'm assuming I'll have to change the screen time out settings on my tablet...or will it continue to run in the background when the screen is off?
I don't know for sure what would happen with your tablet. My guess is that it would act in the same way a phone does and turn off after a period of inattention unless that feature were overridden somehow.

I haven't played ED in quite a while, but I would like EDSM to update all my data regarding 1st discoveries and badges I've earned. I'm just assuming it will update all my ED data?
Others would have more knowledge on this than I, but if memory serves me only the last 30 days' travel data is retained on your account and hence obtainable by EDSM. Some statistics will be accurate (eg total hyperspace distance travelled, I think?) while others will only start counting from when you begin with EDSM. If you don't log in for 30 days, or however long records are kept on our accounts with Elite, EDSM wont be able to recover what is no longer there.

I suspect that you will have to redo at least some of your work to get badges. An example of that is docking at Hutton Orbital, which I have done a few times before but only unlocked the EDSM badge for in this weekend just gone. I also still don't have the Sag A* badge despite having dropped in on it before I started with EDSM.

Thank you! I guess I shouldn't have deleted my original profile which had some badges. Oh well...as soon as I get my new xbox this will be the first game I play and I'll just retrace my steps.

It's working!!!!!! (mostly) Unfortunately my ranks haven't updated. :(

The link to Coriolis is pretty Freaking sweet! It already show's my loadout and engineered items, that is amazing! Those stats laid out in the "my fleet" sections is sweet!

Most of my badges have been applied.

This was working perfectly for me the last year on Xbox, but the last month or so I’ve not been able to access my Frontier data with EDSM. Has anyone else has an unauthorized error problem recently when trying to connect via the Frontier auth service? My next step is to contact Frontier directly, but I wanted to start here first to see if anyone has had this problem and been able to fix it on their own.

It works for me but very slowly. At the login screen I click the Xbox icon then I have to wait for nearly a minute for it load, when I click on Dashboard I'm presented with a slow moving loading bar which can take several minutes to update my daily activities individually.

Want to share my morsel of experience.

My Xbox account did not sync with EDSM and I finally saw progress when I used my Xbox email address also for the Edsm account.
And made sure to check the Xbox logo when authenticating with Frontier auth (and only using Frontier auth, not the intended edsm email login).
I also use the same email for the FD account as for the Xbox.
Still I had to unlink the FD account and reauthenticate (twice now) at the security tab, but now I finally see my Xbox ED history logged :)

I have two Frontier accounts (for the PS4 and Xbox so I can separate the Twitch benefits for example), I have one xbox account and I had two different account (email and password) for edsm.
But while the PS4 account gets updated regularily in EDSM on my PC, my Xbox account stayed at nil progress (and a history ending somewhere February 25th).

I had definetly linked the correct FD Xbox account, I have permitted Frontier to read my Xbox profile, I definetly authenticated the Xbox login itself (two factor) but each and every time I used the console updater I saw ... zero progress.
(Which I have to admin isn't much to see, as I just started playing on Xbox in February and just went with the sidewinder from Matet to a Thargoid base and then with the Meta Alloys on to Deciat).
I also deleted the account thrice and restartet it, thinking I made a mistake in the registration process somewhere, but each time the outcome was identical.
I even left the browser window open over night, disabled screensaver and sleep modes, kept it on the main screen, to no avail.

I think it was because somehow FD (and hence EDSM) thinks I am playing on a PC, as the Xbox game pass ultimate I am subscribed to allows for games both on Xbox and on a Windows client (regardless that ED is not offered for the Windows platform by MS, only for Xbox one) (Steam and Epic nonwithstanding).
I also think it is because the windows client my browser runs on and the Xbox share a common manufacturer starting with M and it happily shares my login information to any local browser running on the PC.
I also suspected that Frontier somehow saw my other accounts in the cookies somewhere, but this was proven false. The old account has a 5.xxx customer ID, the new a 7.xxx custtomer ID (and alwas the same, even now, when everything works).

So I threw caution to the solar wind and used the same email for the EDSM login (especially since the Frontier account already used the Xbox account) and now it works as intended. Only issue :) is that I get long playtime awards as the Xbox never seems to really quit the game, making Edsm think I played for 24h straight.

Hey Cmdrs
I have used Journal Limpet to download all my journals, does any one know how to get EDDiscovery to read them ?

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/edsm-for-xbox-not-updating.508079/ - my post today on that thread
Not my experience. It works but only updates with some effort. EDSM does periodically "forget" the link to Xbox account and you have to go through the process of re-linking.
