Why are there so many Necro threads being resurrected just now? Grrr!

Incidentally there was a Necro thread around last October iirc so maybe no more duplicates on necroing

better to see people using old threads, and keep making new ones, on issues/things/topics that's been already touched upon in 300 older posts.

This is true and i appreciate the cynical humor value. There does seem to be a surge of necromancy in the past week above and beyond whats been normal i think. I wonder if its a by product of some new advertising campaign or game sale that generated a pulse of new forum users.

A necro answer happens when someone (other than ourselves because we would never do this) types in a thread reply that had already been addressed previously, at least once.

It's like they read the OP's opening statement and fast forward to type in an entry, without bothering to read through any of the existing replies.
