boom does not lower the purchase price of almost all metals (see link above - i believed wrongly as well before Ian D.s stellar work), and in some cases like silver it even makes the purchase price higher. trade profit in ed is massively weighted on the target market.Metals and minerals, between a refinery and extraction or industrial/high tech I think.
Look for a boom system, then check for a station matching the above, then do a search on eddb or inara.
Thanks!! I did not know that dB. I ll have a look.1. bulk-trading is not "the" easy money making path- it does not get in the regions of massacre missions, laser mining or"mining"-missions
2. if trading for CR, do state depending trading.
3. there are 16 commodities which can generate between 10k and 40k profit per ton if bought at galactic average (so - nothing special) and sold in the right combination of states at themarket you export to. Ian D's fanatastic database gives you the state effects for all commodities https://cdb.sotl.org.uk/effects - you want those states increasing the demand price; they multiply with each other (for bauxite for exampel boom, expansion and investment at the station you export to - it should be an economy that uses bauxite)

the way i use it:That link looks like it's indredibly useful Goemon. Unfortunately I just don't understand any of it
Thanks though, I'll try and study it some more. I'll probably figure it out someday.
i think, almost everything in ed does so. with trading, you'll have to find routes; with mining, you'll have to have the time to fill a full cargo (because pirates spawn); with kill pirates massacre missions, you have to stack the missions first. It requires times. A lot
I was actually looking at Bauxite on Eddb.io. I was checking the different commodities to see if there were any cheap buy prices near the high selling stations, and although you are limited to an M pad, you can find 1k cr/t Bauxite near the current high sell station, meaning over 40k cr/t profit in a medium pad ship, which isnt bad considering the best L pad loop routes that are easy to do are 'only' around 20k cr/t.Bauxite: Investment has the factor 3,2 - Expansion 3,13 - Infrastructure Failure 2,98 (and Boom 2,85; but as Investment and boom are both economy states, a faction can only be in one of them). Those 4 states combined would almost give the highest sell price. But that combination is rare, so i settle for Expansion and Investment or Expansion and Boom. Now all i have to do is finding a station, which market controlling faction is in expansion and boom or investment, and sell my bauxite. bonus points for a station that actually needs bauxite, and extra bonus points for an infrastructure failure.
Doesn't that only work when the system is in a 'public holiday' state? If you have an FC, liquor to Rackham's Peak, as of writing.
Check out EDDB.io, the profit numbers don't lie.Doesn't that only work when the system is in a 'public holiday' state?
Yeah you re right.i think, almost everything in ed does so.
No more than an hour for up to 200m, depending on a few controllable factors. I find it's 30 minutes of prep, then 30 minutes to blat 45 ships for up to 50m+ per faction stacked.Don't know if massacre missions are the easiest I mean to me. It requires times. A lot
30 min for killing 45 ships??No more than an hour for up to 200m, depending on a few controllable factors. I find it's 30 minutes of prep, then 30 minutes to blat 45 ships for up to 50m+ per faction stacked.
30 min for killing 45 ships??
It means you need less than one minute per ship.
Perhaps it s me but ...wow
For instance in HazRES in Harma there are lots of Asp, Vultures and Cobra. Usually less than 100k, av. 60k. Sometimes you meet a Conda. I need at least some minutes to kill a Conda on an engineered Krait. More if it s elite.
Perhaps you fly a bigger ship?
^^ This one.the knack with massacre missions is, to take 1 lower ranked mission along the others high rankend stacked ones. for exampel "master". it will spawn USS of low ranked ships, which you can pop in under 1 minute in a krait or similar. and you get the payout for all. whether that is fun is another question.
It works a lot better then because you get the substantial Public Holiday state multiplier on top of the "is Rackham's Peak" special effect. But the prices are pretty good regardless if you happen to be going that way anyway.Doesn't that only work when the system is in a 'public holiday' state?
Wait, you mean one kill is counted for more missions?and you get the payout for all. whether that is fun is another question.
