Rooster flight report

I'm 63,923.07 from my starting point.
I'm 38,071.66y from Sag A*
Big leap today of around 3,800y.
I'm planing on reaching Beagle Point tomorrow with a big push
Honked every system but every where is discovered, so I saw a lot of this

Well I guess you'll be thinking now after reaching Beagle Point, whether or not to try and reach Oevasy SG-Y d0 from their, seeing as it's only 547.52 LY from Beagle Point to continue on and try and get to the ultimate distant system - if you have the jump range to attempt it that is. But for Rooster he doesn't have the jump range like you to go any further than Beagle Point
In my little asp,,,, probably not...

First person that went their was in an ASP, I watched the video of him going to that system and noticed he was in an ASP. I have just been working on an ASP EXP past few days (enginnering stuff on it), and even with everything A grade installed in it and with guns, shield boosters and Hull and Module reinfo it's pulling 56ly with light armour used, or 52ly with the best armour installed. It does have the FSD v1 double enginnered drive in it though and L5 Guardian booster. I settled on using a class 3 shield with two shield boosters to make it a little stronger - to free up the two bigger slots for an fuel scoop level 6 and level 5 for the guardian booster

Bit on the low side with only a L3 shield + two shield boosters (both full engineered to grade 5). But if being used for EXP - not likely to get attacked in the void, as you never see anyone

Yeah, so many people have been out that way and the stars are so sparse that there's all but nothing left undiscovered on the far side of the abyss.

I suppose there might be a few first-mapped-bys up for grabs if you look hard enough but even that's going to be needle in a haystack stuff.

Remember, Beagle Point was chosen before any of the rebalance distance modifications, and long before Engineering. My AspX maxed at 33.73 LY with the classic "paper ship" and SRV build, and it was considered a long range vessel. These days, a similar design gets 34.10 LY without Engineering or the Guardian range extender.

I am not denigrating Erimus, or, for that matter, my own ship (I still have it), but, here and now, Beagle Point is more of a challenge in terms of perseverance than technical capability.

I do not know about the tourists but there are 11 carriers plus DSSA Distant Worlds carrier there according to INARA.

My carrier is about 2,000ly away, DSSA has a request for Tritium.

Arrived beagle point
parked on the dssa distant world FC
everything repaired, exploration turned in....30+ mil. Got robbed... 25% tarrif on the exploration values. I guess that is how the skipper pays his bills, No?
Going to bed and think about that other place.... need to find a place that Polonium for the premium jumps. Won't try that without redundancy.

Now that you both made it to Beagle Point. Are you going to make the long trip back to the bubble, or look to get a lift from a carrier back, or even start with a new ship back in the bubble and killed off the ship you have out at Beagle. That is the harder part now - if you choose to try and make the same trip all the way back, because you're not heading for a (challenge) that you've not been too before. I went to Colonia, then made the trip back a week later. But coming back was just a real grind.

According to EDSM its a green system, All the materials are available in system for FSD Boost jumps.

Just checked out the system I am in, Tritium available, so I will be mining for a couple of days, a quick delivery run then a slow run back mining as I go:)

Just spotted that I have picked up a hitchhiker, by the date he arrived at my carrier I must have been the other side of the Abyss, They are going to have to wait unless they wanted a lift across before they depart:)

Completing this journey has given you a warm fuzzy feeling inside,Yes? Congrats and Hip hooray for your seeing it through. Now how are you getting home.... I cheated and flew into a sun and was magically transported back to my original starting point with a sidewinder.

I am sat here with a glass of red wine and a huge smile.
I think I'd like to bring her home and keep her forever as a reminder of the journey
