So...hows the 9 tails lockdown looking then... since you're testing it? ;)

You've obviously figured out i'm an Evocati, its in my profile, when you're an Evocati NDA tester they make you a member of an Evocati Org, which is public. How daft is that?
But i'm not one of the "Strike force Group" or whatever they are called.
Evocati was originally set up to test secrete builds with features that might not make it in to the game, Including bits of SQ42, it was a small group of maybe 150 to start with, but they have grown it to about 2500 now an with a group that large Leaks will and did happen, they don't trust us with the really early super secrete stuff anymore.
We will get the Pirate Lockdown builds next, probably very soon.

Anyway.... i did some commodity trading yesterday, Loreville put out a call for Audio Equipment, they paid 500.000 aUEC per weight unit, i found some at A18 for 224 per unit, cost me 14 Million to fill a cat, sold it a Loreville for 29 Million, 15 million profit. Happy Days...

In other news they rand an optimisation pass on the Bengal, the frame rates around it are much better, around 30 FPS, which doesn't sound like a lot but its actually very smooth.
I've taken this shot out of the video deliberately with the Idris and Bengal in the same shot. Look at the load on the CPU, all 16 threads are quite well loaded, you just don't see anything like that in other games. Imagine that crammed into a 4 thread i5, Christ.... those are the people getting 10 FPS.
23GB of System RAM used, 7GB of Frame Buffer.

I was ETF too a long time ago with my original account...noted the EPTU folder when you showed it :)

Ah, i see :) if you don't mind me asking, just curious, what happened to that account?
I refunded it back in 2017 through frustration with Ci¬G, like quite a few others did at that time...sold some concepts and ships on the grey market but refunded the majority. I bought back in during 2018 with the profit from the grey market sales. I haven't chucked near as much cash back in this time around as I took out...still, second time around as concierge shows some signs of madness. I did ask Ci¬G to reactivate my old account rather than create a completely new one but they wouldn't allow it.

Makes sense.

I had one of those AMD Branded Mustang Omega ships, got it with an AMD R9 290 GPU i bought back in 2013 i think it was, i sold that ship years later on the Grey Market for £95.

If people are willing to pay that for a crap ship because it has AMD branding all over it who am i to argue? :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, still a long way to go then. Your beast kit is seeing 30fps, but as you say, lower gear will get hammered.

And this is for a non-combat scenario, just vibe. Tony Z noted that the turret AI for capital ships was a real performance challenge, for a start.

Yep it was available to purchase in several flavors and sizes (petty, standard, luxury...) and I thought the idea was whatever the place you'd land on in the PU you would disembark in a hangar of the flavor level you picked.

But looks like people paid for nothing more than an useless broken vanity showroom and the features had joined the growing list of canned half baked ones under the carpet. I'm sooo surprised /s

Ok so I had to dive into this. And yep, they sold hangar upgrades in the store:

And were still doing so by at least March 2019. At some point since then access became based on ship purchase alone.

And that’s without mentioning all the fish tank subscriber flair, polls about decoration and expansion, and claims of it becoming a networked social hub etc.

Will they ever come good on their claim of an actual in-game application? Or is it just another primarily cosmetic, heavily monetised, daydream ;)

That's a bit ********* of them. We don't get personal hangers anymore, the idea now is you pick a spot on a planet or moon and build your own base.........

Nothing is ever truly taken off the table in CIG-land, or indeed the store front. They say it’s still coming, and buying a bigger ship will still get you one ;)

Along with base building, and personal luxury apartments...

They’ll certainly charge for them. But will they deliver the functional items. (Let alone ones commensurate with the price ;))
