Please. They are incredibly boring right now, its game-breaking. They are uninteresting, have no variation, they don't eat nearby stars/planet matter, and are NOT dangerous. PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS.
A little bit of hyperbole, but it’s early so I’ll entertain. I quite like the ‘simple’ lensing effects, makes for some striking views when you find one in the right place but I can see how they’d disappoint some.Please. They are incredibly boring right now, its game-breaking.
I wouldn’t call them uninteresting but that’s personal opinion as previously stated, and any variation comes from the setting. I’ll concede that there’s little variation and nothing like active black holes with accretion discs, but I’d like to give the devs the benefit of the doubt and say that might be a terrible amount of work for the engine and stellar forge, but wouldn’t know for sure. They are uninteresting, have no variation
Hungry black holes are (probably to this layman) beyond the scope of the timeframes involved in the stellar forge. Once the forge has worked its magic the galaxy is essentially static; remember that ‘tomorrow’ in cosmic terms is still a very long way away! I’m not sure this sort of interaction is something that could be modelled in a real-time fashion believably. Your second point is unarguable, but that’s possibly an artefact of the ‘buff/nerf’ merry go roundthey don't eat nearby stars/planet matter, and are NOT dangerous
Your second point is unarguable, but that’s possibly an artefact of the ‘buff/nerf’ merry go rounddangerous black holes would be fun up until some poor explorer lost everything unexpectedly flying too close to one and came here screaming about it being unfair. Maybe some tidal effects in close proximity, like the neutron boosting wobble and the chance for module damage would make them seem more imposing.
American sarcasm.I’m not arguing they’re not disappointing, but they’re very far from game breaking.
i don't agree with your logic. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Any developer that loves its game and wants its community to prosper will listen to their community when feasible. The more CMDRs ask for something, the less likely it is FD will do it. We ought to start lampooning things we secretly desire.

The closest one I can think of is down in Maia. Anything closer I don't know about.Where is the closest black hole in or near the Bubble?

There's one in Mintaka, 692.5 ly from Sol.I think it's V616 Monocerotis (3kly from Sol)
Okay, I'll go check it out on a rainy day. I'm not making any promises, but I'll at least try adding some seasoning to these black holes to see what happens. I can't make them deadly, but maybe I can make them pretty. There's one in Mintaka, 692.5 ly from Sol.
