My first question is how did you find a 3080.
No though, not had a problem with a 2080ti.

No. No, and no. This is nothing to do with us. This isn't some new thing that just cropped up today, it's universal, it's been this way since alpha. It's not - p2p matchmaking - server related is it? Wouldn't be surprised given the hammering servers get on days like this.
I'm getting 9/10 performance (small micro stutter) but not related to where I am.
A word to the wise too .. definitely make sure GFX and other drivers are bang up to date.
Read Dead 2 is neither of what you said, and Elite in no way looks photorealistic. It looks like plastic dolls and toys now.The explanation is that Red Dead is a simple game with cartoon graphics and physics, while Odyssey is the next-gen of photorealistic graphics and physics. Duh.
Next you'll be comparing Odyssey performance with Microsoft Flight Simulator![]()

Wait, why should I assume I should get 60 fps with ANY graphic settings on recommended+ PC?Your PC exceeds recommended specs (...) If you're not getting capped 60FPS constantly, the specs are wrong and that's the end of it.

Recommended <> "will guarantee stable performance on maxed graphic settings".
Odd I am getting about half that with a 2Gb GTX950M though the graphics are turned down to medium or thereabouts.... while Read Dead runs in 4k/60fps ?
Any explanation? Is this a bug and will be fixed (what was the alpha for exactly?) or is that all Frontier is able to deliver?

Case in point, the post you quoteI know you jest a lot, it's why I like your posts!
On purpose - Sarcasm 101. Like Drax, I assumed everyone would catch it, LOL. RDR2 looks absolutely STUNNING on my PC, and it performs wonderfully as well. Heck, RDR2 looks stunning on my PS4!But surely you have that backwards regarding Red Dead?![]()
That's exactly the point I was making, in my jestful sort of way. MFS also looks amazing on my PC, way better than anything I've seen in Odyssey, and while I don't normally get 60 fps in MFS, the photorealistic graphics more than make up for the lack of framerate (which never dips below 30). Odyssey graphics, on the other hand, feel dated in comparison. The thing is, I'm totally okay with Elite having "dated" graphics if it means I can get great performance at max settings, especially since Horizons is my #1 VR title. But Odyssey giving us dated graphics with terrible performance, that's just inexcusable IMO.Also, Microsoft Flight Simulator is probably the most demanding game currently available and is almost certainly simulating a far more complex environment than Elite. The funny thing here is that Flight Simulator is very poorly optimised at the moment, Asobo Studio and Microsoft have admitted that many times. Yet, even with MSFS being one of the most demanding games on the market and with it needing a huge amount of optimisation, it still runs better than Odyssey.
