Especially mail order games in the 90s, those things used to sometimes take weeks to arrive

Completed the training mission, had a beer with my pilot, and then spent several hours last night pottering around. Went back to Jameson (gawked at the Founders' World for a full 10 mintues), snatched up all the suits and weapons. Mined a few tons of tritium in preparation for my first ever expedition. Hoped in my T9 and went back to a little honey hole of a trade route I found and am socking away CR to divert upkeep costs.
So, yeah....uh....blame me, I guess.

I'm not surprised, I have no issues with the preordering, however, I did prophesize the release being a dumpster fire given it was scheduled to release two weeks after a fairly flaky alpha...

I'm still looking for the 'punishment' key bindings. Are they in the controls, ship, srv, or commander tab?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I cannot think of any update since I joined at 2.0 Horizons beta, that has brought massive performance issues resulting in frame rate tanking...
...Well! - there was one of the 2.X.Y updates that forced the window for VR mode to fullscreen full resolution, which when I was rocking a rift and a 4k TV as a computer monitor on a GTX970, made things, interesting. But disabling Oculus during that period still gave me the sorts of framerates I'd expect in any other resolution, the bug was limited to VR only, so not a big issue. But now, we are seeing RTX cards brought to their knees at 1080p for goodness sakes...
People are free to spend their money how they like - but I learned not to pre-order games like 15-20 years ago.
I have no idea why people still do it - now that everything is distributed digitally there's literally no reason to. It makes no logical sense to me at all (then again, humans are often very illogical).
The most hilarious part is - when you read reviews people who pre-order are often the most mad when a game launches in a sub-par state.... hard to feel much sympathy
