From the Twitch info page:

"For time-based Drops, if you are unable to claim the Drop in time, you will be able to claim it from the inventory page until the Drops campaign ends."

So they should be there. Maybe I should just write to Support?

I am new to non-auto drops too. Someone let me know that I had to go to my Twitch Avatar and click on him, then go down to the drops notifications - I was then able to claim the packs that I was eligible for.

I then found I also had to go to the Frontier website that was linked on this forum - the one that shows if you have your Twitch channel linked. Under the linked message was another notification of the packs, requiring me to claim the packs there too.

It seemed to work for me - I really hope it works for you as well. <O

I understand the necessity to motivate folks to watch live, and I would love to take part - it's just unfortunate that there isn't a more equitable solution to allow folks from other time zones to participate (and enjoy the rewards). I'm glad the videos are saved so I can watch them later - I really do enjoy watching them in their entirety. It would be nice to also enjoy the benefits that come from supporting them, though.

In the spirit of Christmas (and during the current COVID circumstances), it would be nice if they could register the video being viewed and still give those that could not watch live (due to a variety of important reasons), a chance to participate in the event. We are all part of the ED Community wherever we may be <O

Watch the stream for 30 minutes to get the Festive Sidewinder and Purple Paint Job.

To Receive Your Drops:
  1. Link your Twitch account to your Frontier account here: https://twitch.frontierstore.net/.
    1. Make sure you link the account you wish the Twitch Drops to apply to (console OR PC account).
  2. Watch the stream on Twitch for 30, 60 or 90 minutes for each tier.
  3. Once you receive a drop:
    1. Click on your Twitch profile
    2. Scroll down to the 'Drops' option
    3. Claim the drop
  4. The rewards will now be available the next time you play Elite Dangerous using the account you linked.

I've still not had these accredited to my accounts (on PC)...
Is anyone else having this issue?

- Sorted... I didn't realise that I had to log back into Frontier to claim them there too! Doh! That seems overly complicated having to claim them twice!

I’m currently on ps5/ps4. I’ve had my account on twitch registered properly. I watched the stream and claimed the all prizes for the required time. But they haven’t been added to my ed in game account at all. Idk if I’ve missed something or there an issue with ps players getting the rewards.


i found it sorry for trouble apparently I needed to claim them a second time on the frontier store. So I had to log in to the frontier store and claim again. They are now in my account. But for some Odd reason I’ve got double vibrate purple paints ?

I've watched the stream twice already and never received any notifications for any drops!!!!! It says I'm connected to Frontier on Twitch. I'm using the latest chrome browser. I downloaded the twitch app which I didn't want to do and trying it one last time ,ughhhh

Could I have the secondary purple rewards transferred to my alt account, or have them swapped out for the festive rewards on my main account?

same thing has happened to me, and i watched all the way through. have you had any luck getting the festive packs?

I'm just going by how twitch drops work for other titles to be honest. Escape from Tarkov drops for example, you need to be logged in to twitch with your account linked to your account with the games devs, and at various times the drops happen. But they only work at those specific times, obviously as viewers we don't know when the back-end communication happens to validate someone is logged in so people have to watch the full thing. There's no way for it to work other than live though. In fact the Tarkov devs do drops on different twitch content creators streams on different days, say monday streamers x y and z, tuesday a b and c.

edit - fdev could have done it differently for all I know

The whole 7 Day Window and Watch Partner Streams is pointless. Who are the partners?? When will they stream?? there is nothing, I have searched all over the web and trawled through countless Twitch searches - Nothing but the copy and paste announcement from Frontier with no relevant information.

They gave about as much attention to their streams as they did for the QA testing for Odyssey.
