I've fixed the links in the OP for the threads, and members, but trying to do the individual posts it just too much because the old post number doesn't correspond to the new numbering.
But you should at least be able to find the other threads mentioned now:)

I'm pretty happy with mine - primarily a turquoise-cyan blue, green stays green, prominent yellow text.
Most significant indicators (e.g the speed 'blue zone') become red (oversaturated but I think I need to turn down some other setting that is hidden now - bloom?)

<MatrixRed> 0.35, 0.5, 1.75 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> -0.5, 2, -1.25 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 1.75, -1, -0.4 </MatrixBlue>

I just had to post a thank you for this profile.
I love it. It's exactly what I was looking for even though I didn't know I was looking for it.
Thanks, mate. o7

Hey folks, new pilot here!

Stumbled across this forum in my quest to get rid of that god-awful orange HUD.

Unfortunately, while I've put together a pretty decent looking replacement, what I see in the editor doesn't transfer into the game. Or even back into the editor once I save it.

I've also manually inputted the parameters into the appropriate graphics config file (both in-steam, as well as the override) with the same horribly purple results in-game.

When looking at the second image, even the parameters get changed, for a reason I'm not able to understand or work-around

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Derp.

Figured out my issue up above after some more tinkering.

Looks like I was inputting my desired parameters into the wrong slots, if the little matrix of in vs out colors was a graph, I switched the X and Y axis' around.

Everything's still showing a bit more purple than I'd like in-game, but now looks great in the test, so at least we're going somewhere.

This is a clone of one already posted (11th from top, Sandy Brown / Corn Flower Blue). I tweaked it to have the Analysis Mode not as indigo/purple (which I find very hard to see/blurry), while maintaining the original author's comfortable sandy brown base color, as well as proper NPC skin color.

Apologies, this is my first post to these forums (if I am posting images incorrectly).

Showing brightness level, so you can gauge your own results (I usually fly with two pips for interface brightness).

As long as we're showing off HUD colors...

YES! Pretty please with sugar on top @Old Duck share those settings.

In return I will send a G5 triple-engineered 5A Frame Shift Drive via snail mail!

<Edit>
Read your later replies. I would love to give it a try even though its more than editing xml. But need a bump in the right direction.

Stop keeping all that sexy to yourself Mr. Duck. I want sexy too! Seriously though, slick. Frontier should make this the default theme.

I have a very good thing going (For me) with EDHM 1.4 right now, the problem is the orange neon (God I hate this color frontier) in the sub menus (1,2,3,4). I dealt with this by keeping the changes I made to the graphicsconfiguration.xml (Ive been using the Corn Blue thats listed on the first post of the thread for years, love it).

So what I do is I dont clear the graphicsconfig to default, I keep the corn blue matrix settings, and then enable EDHM on top of it, and it kills the orange completely. I managed to make some pretty cool huds and I'm vibing, but the problem is the text is a slightly hazy red and it doesn't look good during battle especially.

I have been trying to find a nice white with a touch of blue to hopefully de-red the font slightly. I've spent the past couple hours messing with the matrix making small adjustments to see if I can cut down on the red but its just not happening (I'm pretty clueless when it comes to these things).

If anyone has or knows of a nice setting for a white with a touch of blue Id greatly appreciate it if you could point me towards it. I've been googling old settings from game websites and reddit that are years old and trying different things but I cant get there, but I'm so close to the dream. hud.

No, I've edited individual pixel shaders, which is far more detailed and "tricky" than changing a few lines in an XML config file.
Duck do you have XML changes sitting on top of your shader reconfigurations, or are you using the base XML GUI values with your personal shaders?

So I have just recently downloaded the Dr. Kaii profiler tool and under the Colo editor there isn't any saved presets, does anyone know where or how I can get those added to the profiler? any help would be great...

thanks in advance cmdrs o7

Right next to the Preset drop-down menu there's an import icon. Pressing that will ask to approve to import profiles. Click yes and BAM! It's now populated with all the profiles from this thread and more.

I'm not sure if I've missed on the previous few pages but couldn't spot anything, apologies if its already been mentioned.

Would 100% recommend using EDHM for modding HUD colours in future. No more sliders or weird portraits, and seems to be able to customise much more individually.
Can easily change it on the fly in game, or disable it all together.

D2EA Did a really good video on it and its prettty easy to install.

EDHM download

This isnt the colour scheme I'm going with but just to show what can be changed....

Me too. I checked GraficsConfiguration.xml and it has changed a lot. And color matrix became default, but color scheme in game remained blue, as I had set it before. In the terminal on ground, buttons are orange, but the icons are blue. I tried to reset xml but it didnt help. Maybe its a bug
Did Odyssey break some of these or is it just me?

I had deleted my graphics settings per the advice of a different post in order to resolve the stuttering lag I was having when I first started playing Odyssey, and that fixed the lag but gave me a default UI again. I was able to apply a new hud setting via the same instructions in the OP into 'GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml' (didn't touch anything else), seems to work. Be sure to paste the entire thing over top of all text in that file.

Do we know if a fix is possible for the colours in Odyssey without installing that mod?

I followed this and the colours are still broken but I can't understand why, as its only reds that are now displaying as yellow.

My UI in Horizons:

My UI now in Odyssey with the SAME graphics config settings:

The blue is less vibrant, and for some reason what was originally red on my hud is now showing as yellow, but it's the exact same graphics config copied from the first page of this post.

Hi there,

I use this config posted in OP post:
<MatrixRed> 0.25, 0.43, 1 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 0.83, 1, 0 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 1, 0, 0 </MatrixBlue>

But is there a way to have the same colors but with correct ally/ennemy coloring ?
