How can they not have a QA department? You want them to keep deceiving the public about the state of their product and charging people for broken turds that they know full well are broken turds? You want them to continue using their paying customers as their QA department because it's cheaper than actually hiring a QA department?
Oooookay... Whatever floats your boat.

This is the way!You want them to keep deceiving the public about the state of their product and charging people for broken turds that they know full well are broken turds? They are now one of the UKs leading studios, they have many QA teamsHow can they not have a QA department?
Unfortunately "it has to ship on x date" trumps everything else, including QA. Shouldn't be that way and wish it was not that way, but it is. Seen it in my industry and many others time and time again. Feel for the devs and those that must be under immense pressure by no fault of their own.Maybe they do but it lacks any authority. They need a "user acceptance testing" phase where nothing goes to production without UAT signoff. They don't have that which makes it look like they have no QA department.
You'd be surprised. A lot of smaller software houses QA is done by support staff / account managers / whomever-is-not-a-developer-or-senior-managment. It's often one of the last departments to be set up in a lot of companies. How can they not have a QA department?
Very professional video here. They are now one of the UKs leading studios, they have many QA teams

It can’t happen soon enough. If I wanted this experience I could sit in my basement with the lights off.You are aware that this thing you like is a bug caused by double application of gamma settings in the graphics driver because someone screwed up the render pipeline in the engine, right?
it's going to go back to how horizons looked once it's fixed.

I'd say many would welcome such a small issue. Report it via the issue trackerObserving visual glitches in asteroid fields (look closely at the edges of the asteroids)

Yes, and it's a bit depressing that a positive side effect of a bug is likely to go.You are aware that this thing you like is a bug caused by double application of gamma settings in the graphics driver because someone screwed up the render pipeline in the engine, right?
it's going to go back to how horizons looked once it's fixed.
FDev isn't a smaller company though, it's massive. With that many products and updates, QA is a must...You'd be surprised. A lot of smaller software houses QA is done by support staff / account managers / whomever-is-not-a-developer-or-senior-managment. It's often one of the last departments to be set up in a lot of companies.
