The great big Odyssey Screenshots thread

Saw this pretty big crater and parked "just outside it". 10 minutes of driving the SRV later I finally got to the edge of it. Camera as far back as I could get it, wide angle same.

Well I spent a bit playing with the "UltraforCapture" setting but tbh while there IS a difference, it's not big enough for the few fps I lost with it set (even with the obvious last 2). I'll stick to Ultra.

Which one is ULTRA and which is ULTRAFORCAPTURE is in the spoiler at the bottom.

UltraForCapture shots were A, C & F

So E and F are obviously the easiest to tell, it's very apparent in that one, the rest not so much. Thanks for the side to side

Also, did you notice more shadows bugging out in the ultracapture when you were gliding through orbit? Or just generally flying around? I feel like I was getting more shadow jitter, like sections of shadows at the edges of where they end, would blink in and out real fast. That sort of thing I felt was almost doubled in the ultracapture mode.

edit- nevermind, after realizing you do in fact need to restart to get the effects to work, i guess I was getting shadows bugging out under ultra when I thought it was ultracapture.

Wow a ton of these images really are fantastic! I can't wait to see even more shots after the planetary tech has been fully implemented/updated =]

Is there some kind of unknown meta - to me at least - of why people not posting the system/planet name/coords with their screenshots, so that others could also find them?
It could be that you don't get Paid for discoveries while out in the Deep, but have to wait till you get home. I've been out about 4 months on this trip and have found a lot of things. Now whether someone would try to travel out, scan/map/walk on a planet someone else did, and try to come back is rather far fetched.
Then, too. It's very rare that someone would travel this far out to revisit a planet, so never really make notes of where they found anything. At least I don't. But then I'm lazy. :]
