The great big Odyssey Screenshots thread

Planet is a fair way from the star, hence darker colours.

Most of my graphics options are set to a mix of low, medium and high.

Well, that was a quick visit to civilisation - 1 interdiction, a fine for blocking a pad and one for wanten destruction of defence equipment. Moving swiftly on, we have acquired some engineering and a bit of a redecoration. We are still waiting for the engineering team to get back to use about the scanner issue, so some of our survey will be stunted, however, we are confident that a remote patch will reach us out in the black.

Just one question...

Does my bum look big in this?

Dmn I look good.

So my next target is an old hunting ground around 50 jumps out towards the general direction of the core. It was my first deep space survey waaaay back. I'm looking forward to making first footfall on some of my discoveries. I promised myself I was just going to jump... but you know what happens. You jump into a system, the scanner pings back 24 bodies, but they're not on the chart. You hesitate...

First touchdown in the new livery. There's a dusting of snow on the ground.

The life on this planet is hanging by a thread. There's barely a marker than can be found. It's probably hiding in a crater somewhere. It's not that someone brought their ship here and left something behind as it has never been touched. No one has ever seen this sight before!

An Argon rich atmosphere (99.6% Nitrogen, the rest is Argon.) The M class star is 16% closer than Earth is to it's sun. It's a beautiful day at 104k...

So begins the next adventure!

I think I found a pretty good canyon racing candidate, not sure where to post this aside from here but I vageuly remember people looking for canyon racing planets, now granted I don't do canyon racing and technically maybe this would be more a canyon technical course than a race. I noticed the terrain right away as you're flying into a nearby settlement, the terrain is pock marked with these snake like canyons, some of them are wider and more open, some of them as you see from the photos, like I could barely fit my cruiser through. I think theres a fun course to string from jumping one to another of these canyons, and some of the canyons stretch out for quite a distance as you can see from the photos. I dunno may be worth checking out. Oh also it's inside the bubble and has a nice atmosphere so racing could be pretty at the right time.

(tried taking a quick video of a short section, sorry about the terrible flying)
