Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Hotfix 3

Tried it, didn't work

Just to return to this, I was able to successfullly escape the apex shuttle doing the following:

- trapped cmdr creates and logs into a private group
- rescue cmdr added as a friend and invited to private group
- rescue cmdr in cobra makes their way to the problem system
- rescue cmdr sends trapped cmdr an 'invite to crew'
- trapped cmdr accepts and appears on cobra as multicrew
- rescue cmdr jumps briefly to supercruise, drops back out, and self destructs
- rescue cmdr respawns at last station
- trapped cmdr respawns as station the apex taxi originally departed from

...on the off chance this still might work for you.

In Horizons it is like:
1. left scroll list to see all I need
2. position mouse on 1st planet
3. move mouse right over whole map until I watch left list
Done, I read all info about all planets I need. 5-7 seconds total.

This info is shown by external program too depend on game log. So now I just set ctrl+shift+1 to pop me window of external tool to read planets. What's a great game design :D
Ah, glad you found an even better work around. Hopefully they will allow multiple tabs open at once soon.

  • Fixed Apex Interstellar shuttles getting stuck in indefinite loops
  • Fixed players receiving missions sending them to Colonia
  • Fixed an issue with SRV datalink scanner incorrectly triggering a lethal response from settlements when in analysis mode
  • Fixed a missing Codex image
  • Fixed an issue where the suit and weapon customisation menus became unpopulated when switching between them
  • Fixed Shutdown missions triggering the 'leave the settlement' objective for all players in the instance
  • Fixed the scarf from the Plainsman outfit obscuring the player's view when in a ship
  • Allowed UMA GPUs and some other memory-constrained graphics cards to use more system memory for graphics allocations

Apex Interstellar shuttles crashes now when it attempts to land on a settlement. Hotfix that fixes nothing.

Thank you devs for working so hard to make this right. Shame on you suits who will never read this. O7

Try fixing mission rewards, they are broken select materials get told its financial and that's all it is.
But thank you for the extra fixes appreciated :)

Anyone having issues getting to to SRV/Ship/Terminals since the patch? I press the interact key and it pops up but disappears before you can do anything, couldn't even get back to the Menu. It was fine in the station but as soon as I landed at a Settlement the Interact key started glitching

It's a critical bug all right, but please let's not assume they are ignoring it (or any of the other bugs). As has been pointed out in this thread many times, the problems are a matter of limited resources rather than any lack of willingness to make the game amazing on the devs part. Let's also not forget that they are creating something out of thin air, a huge new addition to an already very massive game, on a platform that consists of innumerable different hardware configurations. There is always a risk of things going wrong on release day even after an extensive beta phase, and if anyone is to be blamed for the unresolved problems it's the people who decided on the launch date.

Having said that, I completely understand the frustration and anger after the long wait for Odyssey. It's easy to stoop down to kicking and screaming in that state of mind, which shows here in the form of inappropriate stabs at the devs and other forum members. Rather than doing that, let's give the devs the time and constructive feedback they need. We will eventually see improvement, and the journey continues.

Also, thank you devs for the hotfixes and patches. I still remember clearly the feeling of amazement when I first played Elite in 1985 on my C64, and that same feeling has emerged on many occasions with Elite Dangerous. You've already achieved great things, and I really hope that we will continue to see much more for years to come!

Missions need a look at for bugs. I needed to retrieve personal docs from a crate that doesn't exist. Which is odd as I thought most personal docs were from lockers... in any case, the mision marker was present on the sys and planet map but missing from the terminals at the base I landed at.
