I didn't have the problem before but I hit a taupe cobra on first login and logged ok on the second . Just now

It aint fixed. I saw the update earlier this morning, and I restarted my console. Same old shxt, log in twice does work.

This as an absolute joke, Have to log in twice then get booted straight out. Great update guys was better off before at least I could play. Now how do I go murdering innocent Cmdrs if I can’t get on at all.

Please keep that just for the auth error/logging in twice though. If you're getting DCs once in-game, they'll need their own reports.
I'm feeding back to Dev on this and I'm currently just trying to get an idea of how many people need to use this workaround still. Apparently, not everyone does, so it's not necessarily going to be all that easy to identify the cause, unfortunately.

I sincerely hope that you have updated the issue mentioned above with your finding so it gets a little bit more attention due to the number of participants.
And I also hope you put a little bit more effort in the description than "cannot (log in)".
Complete error message, exact timestamp (you will be astonished what people consider to be "now"), the platform (I personally assume Xbox) and steps to reproduce the error, maybe even screenshots?
Every little bit helps. The helpdesk employees are not mind readers.
I just tried to log in on my Xbox (Series X) and while I still had to login twice, I could play the game after the second, successful attempt.
Please bear in mind that this is about the double login issue, about the connection to authentication servers issue, not SC.
SC woes value their own thread, as do red or orange sidewinders.
My last two logins were successful on the first attempt. That's very promising that the problem has been fixed, at least for me. I'll watch the next day or so to confirm. Thanks for the fix.
Don't want to toot my horn too soon but just got in first try after today's reset. Maybe something changed server end as there was no update that i noticed.
Login problem has returned for me after today's update (xbox series X Horizons). Quick relogin no longer works either so it just sits saying loggin in for a minute before coming up with the old error message. Retrying just does exactly the same thing.
Could you make a new thread please? This one concerns a specific issue from four months ago
