That might work on a non story reward CG but this CG is meant to end with you getting nothing if you end with ZERO tier because there will be NOTHING left of JD as a 0/5 tier is complete and utter failure so nobody from JD will have any assets to pay you with get tier 1 and you avoid total loss and completely crushed group so those who survive on other planets running will be able to pay you then... This is not a minour action fighing over some one sleeping with another wife...
The story is complete removal of a faction if fdev finaly go through with it...
But you have got the wrong game if you want to be rewarded by fdev for completely failing the task they set...
Feds have lost recently completely in a rival CG so it going core dynamics way so completey was no longer insured...
If Jupiter Division got to tier 1 and lost, the participants on that side will still get their payout, even if Jupiter Division is destroyed and removed from the game.
So even on story-related CGs like this one, a shared reward system wouldn't break anything that isn't already broken.
As far as being rewarded for completely failing, I've got an engineered enzyme missile rack in my cargo that begs to differ.
But regardless, none of that really matters. The important thing is creating an enjoyable and meaningful competitive experience, which the current system fails to deliver. A change like that would hopefully fix that problem.
