Big Elite Streamers Giving Up On Streaming Elite?

I don't know if it was posted, but D2EA have posted his own video for the launch and roadmap situation, as part of his "hello dave".

Overall, we are around 5 Yamicks on the negativity scale. He calls himself a "hopeless optimist" at some point. I encourage a watch, for anyone interested.

TL.DR : He calls the DLC a "beta". He feels the roadmap was made vague on purpose to avoid being unable to complete objectives. He hopes the "increase communication" will be something honest, and not basic PR "we have nice screenshot look". Also, he is saddened by the fragmentation of the community, mostly the big established groups like Distant World, and expect to see them back when it gets better.
Overall, optimistic, but also realist that the game launched in poor state and need works.

The AAA tag is meaningless these days. Tarkov is the next big thing that's on the rise, it's a flawed comparison. I would agree that it would have been great to see Odyssey become the next big thing but there was no expectation of it in my mind whatsoever, which is why I think the comparison is flawed.
Yea, it's not fair to compare a great game and a bad game against each-other. Even through the great game as a smaller team and fewer resources to call upon.

I've noticed that more than a few streamers who made their names streaming Elite have moved on or seriously cut back on Elite. This is not good.
Depends on the streamers. There are a number out there who seem to reduce their "content" to rants, swear words and insults. Should they move on it's not a big loss to me.

He's the only, completely honest, ED streamer out there. Him and The Pilot.

Dave_GG is also worth keeping an eye on, but he's relatively new and whether he'll stick with E: D after all this is debatable.

There are too many E: D streamers and youtubers that simply come across as corporate shills (whether they actually are or not).

There are others, but yes Yamiks seems to be both honest and more importantly, he was spot on in his critique of Odyssey back in the "It's only alpha days" a few weeks ago. Some don't like him due to his "foul language", giving them a "reason" to shoot the messenger. Sometimes the truth is just not very well received.

I doubt a fish bowl and a bit of sand would sway TheYamiks.
