Please FD, just roll it back. We can all wait for it to be ready...

Quite a funny thread.

So, let' see: "This weekend my family will get into the car and we go off to visit my parents".

Based on some statements above, it should be just a matter of minutes before somebody tells me that he doesn't know my parents and feels insulted that i would think he would also be there... :D
Actually, you've just highlighted the opposite... You've provided information that clearly defines 'we' within the context of the statement - ie 'my family'. The OP failed to do this, on an open forum, and then seems surprised. If title/post had included proper context with in a subordinate clause - ie based on discussions within my squadron/discord - then 'we' would have been defined. As it stands, it does read as many have interpreted it - a sweeping statement, the type of which is not uncommon on these forums.

Disclaimer, to avoid people strangely trying to insert themselves into every 'we' ever. 'We' in this case, is my squad, most people who frequent my discord (about 200 skilled, active players), everyone I know who plays BGS to any decent level, and a whole bunch of random people I've discussed it with. Every 'we' does not have to cover every population, otherwise every statement of 'we' ever made would by necessity include the whole human race.

But I expected nothing less from this forum. :)
Perhaps you should have spent the five seconds necessary to determine that "My friends and I", "My squadron", or "My Discord" would be more suited for the threat topic than "We". Without the qualifying information you've had to provide countless times in the thread "we" is going to be assumed to be everyone reading. That's common sense. Don't crap all over us because you can't English.

Only someone with no knowledge of English usage would argue that “we all believe” is equivalent to “everyone who agrees with me believes,” which is how the OP is using the terms “we” and “all.”

The title of this thread is a massive over-reach, and the OP should own up to that.
If someone had no knowledge of the English language, how would they know the definition of "we", let alone how to apply context to its use?

Over 3 accounts and 1500 hours this is the game I have spent the most time on in the last 12 years. I uninstalled last week. Pre-ordered and played the Alpha and everything. Totally un-playable, and I agree with OP, and share discord servers with them. The thing that would have saved this was to label it "BETA", as normally after a Alpha you get a Beta.

And if you think that when the OP says "we" they are referring to you and that they actually owe you anything because "waaaa you don't speak for me" you are dreaming. Take a look at reddit sometime and have a look at all the hate this is getting. When you get content creators like OA throwing shade at this release then there is something wrong.

Nor the typical type of folks clamoring to point out how offended they are. This place consistently cracks me up, hence I appear only when I have something to say. :)

You have to go out of your way to be offended by what I said and not take it in the spirit of a typical forum rant. The funny part is the people thinking they have something to tell me, when they say 'I'm enjoying it thank you very much', cos all you've told me is how you actually clearly don't play the game to any level of depth, or have extremely low expectations of how a game with the history, depth and pedigree of elite should be.

OP committed the unforgivable crime of looking like they speak for everyone
Others committed the unforgivable crime of pointing this out
And others still committed the unforgivable crime of flaming the ones who pointed out the OP's unforgivable crime.

Could someone remind me what the OP's point was again? (ignoring whether the OP is or isn't speaking for everyone)
Also, is there stuffs to be haz? (asking for a friend)

I wrote “knowledge of English usage” which is not the same thing as “knowledge of English.” One can find phrases that appear to be technically fine from the “rules” of English (e.g., dictionary definitions), but do not match how English speakers would interpret the phrase.

But what if, based on discussions had within his squadron/discord, he did in fact decide that "we" can all wait?
That's great, but when it comes to communicating that discussion through a post on an open forum (whose members are not privy to that discussion), then the onus to clarify (if one does not want to be misunderstood or misrepresented), is upon the poster. The title provides no context for understanding 'We' or 'All' - that it refers to a specific defined group really does need to be offered by the speaker/poster.

The way it is written does not only provide no direct contextual reference, the content of the does not imply any context - all inference is left to the reader. Contrary to the passive aggressive edit in the OP, there is no arrogance in how some have inferred the meaning of 'We'. There have been enough posts over the years where people presume to speak for some unverifiable majority to expect this type of inference when one posts so vaguely.

OP's butt-hurt because his PAs stopped working.

By all means, go back to Horizons and wait until it’s fixed. Hope it’s fixed soon, it will be nice to see you back.

But I do wish people would stop trying to take my game away from me. I’m enjoying myself, I’ve only logged into Horizons once and only to prove a point.

You may be happy for it to be taken away, but we’re not. And I used “we” to mean all the people you arrogantly forget to think about when you suggest taking away something we’ve paid for.
thanks, I will be staying in horizons, if I keep the game, mainly because of this...

Everyone has their things that they love about Elite, I have a lot of things I love about it, I love the deep theorycrafting, I love the shipbuilding, I love pvp, and I particularly love...canyon running... This location (check the coordinates in the vid) is still like it is in this video, in Horizons.

This place is magical. It's the best place in the entire game for me, and it's right in our own solar system. I'm a top 100 or so pvper in this game, I love pvp, but my love for pvp is NOTHING compared to how much I love these canyons. These canyons were what separated this game from other games. Here we could see the stellar forge (probably with some handwork, let's be honest), creating a truly unique environment, exactly the right size and twistiness for a proper canyon run.

I don't need anywhere else like this, I told myself. Just this place is good enough. There are handful of other planets with such good canyons, please, nobody mention pomeche, those canyons are weeeeeak.

Anyway...point is...go to these coordinates in Odyssey. This is why I will not play odyssey, it's a testament to a dev studio that do not even know what makes their own game great and clearly no longer care. Someone said I was banging my head against the wall asking for a rollback. I fear that if we don't ask for a rollback, we will be stuck with this dog crap planet generation forever. I will not accept it. IF you think you got what you paid for my friend, then you are part of the problem around here.

The title is suggesting the roll back of the game.

Regardless of who they speak for they’re suggesting that FDev remove my access to the game I’ve paid for and have invested time into because they, and their 200ish associates, want to wait until it’s fixed.

They’re more than welcome to wait, but don’t get to decide if I can have access to my game.
You'll still access to the game, just call it a beta and disconnect it from the rest of the Elite universe so we can go back to something that actually works.
