That would be our very own Luke "Ming" Flanagan. The "Ming" comes from back when he was a student and decided to campaign for local elections on a pro-weed and anti-landlord campaign, and changed his name by deed poll to "Ming the Merciless". He's now a MEP, and it was on a call with the European Parliament that he was sitting on his bed, pantless. He later lamented all the effort he had made to get a clean shirt on.

At the risk of becoming uncharacteristically serious yes, that was definitely a miscalculation of truly cosmic proportions. Just another perfect example of humanity getting everything wrong.
My only hope (fading, as I see the world of today) is that we somehow learned from it.
