Can you tell us if Smear Campaigns are in game yet? Anyone find one with the update?

A small update:
A CMDR on inara pointed me to a system LHS 278 where SCP was found between 2nd and 6th. The settlement in question is controlled by Democrats of LHS 278 and by that time was in civil liberty state. In the same period I saw that there were 2 factions in elections. I do think that the settlement is mistaken and we are probably looking for settlements in election, indeed. I will check the civil liberty trail too.
was it a tourist settlement?

was it a tourist settlement?
Yes. Sorry I thought I gave the settlement name, Ferreira Tourist Lodge. But as I said this settlement was controlled by faction which was in civil war on 2nd and 3rd and then went to civil liberty.

Actually, civil liberty is the last thing I will attempt tonight for an hour or so and then I will just give up and let Frontier fix this.
This post here is a nice summary https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...e-with-the-update.581535/page-11#post-9304939

I have no reason to not believe Zac, but Devs usually check DB tables and logic in code which is entirely different subject. Did anyone from their team bothered to find this in a live server presumably they know all the conditions that needs to be met? I doubt it.

Smear campaigns are in the game.

This is the settlement type you have to look for:

The silence is pretty deafening...

So basically, tomorrow it will be 'adjusted' and no one will be any the wiser as to whether it was true that SCPs were 'in-game' and working as intended with just a tad to high difficulty, and this whole affair will peacefully end with the only repercussion being a permanently reduced sense of trust within the playerbase?

Oh well, the consolation is that at least we will be able to get on with it :)

So, is there ANY chance he will share his journals with you, so we can actually see and be sure of when/where/how?

'cause it's like we have a journal where pretty much all actions we do in game get logged and can be used exactly for this...

I don't believe they're in-game. Someone would have been able to produce a screenshot of one by now. It's not like they're hiding in a remote part of the galaxy, it'd just be in odyssey grind content that everyone's been doing. I doubt they've had a QA tester confirm they got one via playing normally on the live client without dev tools since they didn't get QA tester confirmation of the other engineer unlock requirements that were incorrect before going live.

As I said in my original post I haven't seen a proof. His/Her inara flight log is public but for all logs... I do not think so. It is just a random guy on the internet.

100% this. FDev set themselves up for failure yet again.

Whatever happens tomorrow:
  • They adjust the drop requirements: will feel like they fixed a bug which didn't allow it to drop.
  • They adjust the drop rate: will feel like they fixed a bug which didn't allow it to drop.
  • They fix a bug which didn't allow it to drop: will feel like they fixed a bug which didn't allow it to drop.
  • They do nothing: will feel like they should have fixed a bug which didn't allow it to drop.

Trust is already in shambles. Community managers and the support team are in the front lines of this mess.
I feel sorry for these guys, but I don't trust their (FDev as a whole company) word anymore.

It is post-alpha/pre-beta. Suck it up. Eventually after patch 5 we will have beta experience.

From what they've said it is possible it is in the game, but not spawning at a findable rate. So it's arguable that it isn't any different to it not being in the game. I hope they tweak it in tomorrow's patch - any sign of the patch notes yet? :ROFLMAO:
