Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Update 4

I verified files in Steam (not the launcher) and it found 3 missing/files which needed to be updated. The download was only 3.9kb in total.

Mine suggests that it removed 2 files but now works 🤔

Woah, so these should have returned! I've had Commanders letting me know they came back so I'm a little worried!
These aren't missions that were taken before update 4, but the ones taken immediately afterwards. The fix where the servers went down for a few mins then wiped them for me, and for some others (they also posted up here).

Mine haven't returned as yet despite several restarts.

Hi @sallymorganmoore
Just a few issues I've met right after the hotfix:
1. SLF can't be launched again
2. Beam laser's SFX are gone
3. Ship modules can't be damaged (Some how I feel that the breach damage that's suppose to be applied to ship modules are done to hull damage instead)

Threeeeeeee issue tracker tickets would be really flipping lovely, please, and I'll run like the wind.

Following the validate steps as listed removed the Orange Sidewinder issue. I knew it worked the minute it started creating another graphics profile.

Brilliant work CMDRs

Yes, before I started engineering I didn't do very well in CZs, but after hardening up my ship I've been in numerous CZs. I pick a side and we win, then I return to a station, turn them in and get credits and I do also get combat rank for my kills, but there is no advancement in the combat statistics for combat bonds, still stuck on one, when I must be at 100-200+.

I don't know for sure, but I think this broke on odyssey release, at least judging from the numerous tickets raised for the issue.
Yes, progressions is very wonky with Edo.

o7 again

Something that bugs me since the release of Odyssey. Even with recent iterations on the lighting, these issues still persist.
  • The HUD is really dark. It went from a nice, bright orange in horizons to a dark, de-saturated orange in odyssey. Some parts are hard to read, like the comms panel on the top left. Furthermore, the vibrant light blue of our shields is now a un-saturated turquoise. (I guess it's more of an color issue with the HUD than a brightness issue)
  • Stars are still missing a lot of bloom when seen from a farther distance.
  • Nebulae, even after recent changes, are still hard to see, same applies for the stars in the skybox.
Just to highlight my points a bit more:

I also created a new ticket for these issues. I would really appreciate it if you could acknowledge these issues and pass them onto the devs :)

Thank you very much for your hard work!

After every new patch I can't help thinking "when will you guys finally admit that Odyssey is still beta, pull it and go back to the drawing board ?"
Or maybe just accept that it's still a work in progress that we've paid for early access to and enjoy it when it works, or helpfully provide bug reports in the issue tracker when it doesn't.

I understand your frustration. I feel it too in many ways. But this kind of comment when they're trying to sort out a bunch of issues all at once really doesn't add anything except angst.
