Can you explain more, how would I test this myself by disabling the shader?I just want to confirm that the problem seems related to a shader (disabling one specific shader solves the problem).
It's used in :
- the screen of the missions consoles
- the shop windows
- some settlement windows
- glasses in the bar
- some transparent red colored panels in the concourse "guardrails"
The GPU usage climbs the closer you are to the source of the problem (and looking at it).
Disabling that shader solves the fps problem. Side effect is liquids disappear in glasses, some symbols are removed from the shop windows, etc.
About the performance gain, if i'm close to a shop window, GPU usage drops from 100% to 65% (Nvidia GTX 1080).
I can provide more infos and screenshots if needed.
what have you tried to fix it so far on your local PC?Hello CMDR,
glad it works for you.
It still does not work for us.
Still the error: orange sidewinder.
Many greetings

That's taken this morning. I'm looking in much the same direction at the same nebulae and you can barely make them out.
The milky way "disc" looks a lot better. But it's still not quite the same as Horizons.
3Dmigoto in hunting mode allows do disable shaders. See @Old Duck's Amazingly Realistic Mod for a little bit more information on 3dmigoto.Can you explain more, how would I test this myself by disabling the shader?
Hi Sally,
Is this to be considered the final lighting improvement? Is it now functioning as expected from fdev side?
Nope. Multiple resets of PC and router. Can't get into the game at all.ORANGE SIDEWINDER UPDATE
We believe we've found the issue and knocked it out of the game. You should now have a more stable experience, so anyone still trying - would you have a go for me please and let me know? Thanks!
steam user?Nope. Multiple resets of PC and router. Can't get into the game at all.
see this is what I was talking about I put in an issue about this last week , and yes its still the same and I have also put some screenshots in this thread .Thanks so much for these thoughts. Seriously.
Is this Odyssey shot taken following even today's update?
Thanks!
I'd be interested, I don't go to leggy places.About the glass reflection performance problem,
