I'm talking the email address or name way up my the minimize and close window button of the launcher.

that should be right clickable and give access to all the necessary features of the launcher to switch accounts and play with cache, file verify.

edit: you might get a pop-up about illegal directory access on launch of launcher. you can safely continue thru.

Your problem is light pollution. Go to a truly dark sky and you will see what I mean. It is the most realistic view of the space you can have on earth. Find the closest location without light pollution and go there at night: light pollution map

Yeh, without additional mono installed it looks different. For example with mono selecting horizons/ody shows my name on top (not clickable, just text). WIthout mono - does not happen. Also without mono "OPTIONS" left click does not work yet, right click crashes it :D
....maybe creating new fresh prefix with 6.3 could fix...but well..I can wait week or 2 more :D instead making a lot of work for meself.

I run it from steam. No emails are shown there.

Actually yes I can see from these images you've attached that it's missing the hardware section from Step 3. This is caused from editing the title once you move past step 1.

Where I live I see stars in the night sky and it's mostly not too polluted (light and air pollution). A few years ago I was in the Namib desert with clean, dry air and I could see the fing milky way with the naked eye. That was an awesome moment I'll never forget.

I’ve been banging this drum for an age now, the scary thing is that odyssey was built from a really old horizon branch and it was broken then. With so many issues still outstanding - I would not hold out for a fix anytime soon.

G'day and o7 Commanders.

Just wondering how long the verify process should take? Mine has been sitting on "Preparing for update" for about half an hour now.

Is it safe to "CTRL+ALT+DEL" and try starting again or should I hold tight?

Light pollution was always :) Problem last years are 2: climate changes, we have this year real tropical rains. 1st ever time in history + we have steel plant here which breaks visibility a lot as it rised production.

Try validating via Elite Launcher :
  • Launcher Options-> ED Cache disabled!
  • Launcher Options -> Validate Game Files
May take a little while - should show 'Working' then you should be able to play. Worked for me and a lot of others thanks to some great community work - o7

it worked, the main problem was Cache disabled! Thx

That's what I'm talking about. People don't realize how the sky is different without light pollution. It is a mind-blowing experience.

I'm sorry for that. It is a global problem. But that doesn't mean that the skybox in elite should look like the view from light polluted city right?
