It may be an offensive topic for you...but some folks play and enjoy bothWe're talking about their considering to play Star Citizen, so unfortunately frame drops eliminate it as a contender.
I don't watch streamers at all...bar the expurgated blooper clips you keep posting on here. I play the game that's available, bugs and all but still manage to generally enjoy the experience...same as I do with Odyssey. As much as I'm content to bad mouth Ci¬G and SC on here when they deserve such attention, I don't bad mouth Odyssey or FDev anywhere on this forum....EDO is what it is for better or worse. Some streamers like cobratv_sc exactly match your imagined caricature, but others do not.![]()
Not offensive, as we've explained. Just not relevant. It may be an offensive topic for you...but some folks play and enjoy both![]()
I think Player Insurance is more scope creep, it's the first time I've heard of it anyway. There's no mention in the Death Of A Spaceman or Healing Your Spaceman design documentsWhat I took from that video? The introduction of personal player insurance![]()
Not to me, perhaps to you since you seem to be the one persistently making irrelevant comparisons between both games and the developersNot offensive, as we've explained. Just not relevant.
Some streamers are just regular people giving their opinions. And since they play Star Citizen a lot, it is relevant.
It's something else being monetised, or potentially so.I think Player Insurance is more scope creep, it's the first time I've heard of it anyway. There's no mention in the Death Of A Spaceman or Healing Your Spaceman design documents

Yeah, it very much sounds that way. It's something else monetised or potentially so.
Fair point, I just keep wondering how much more they're going to cram into this game. Will I have to take a dump, shave my legs, brush my teeth, and take a shower before I can fire up the cockpit and get my ship running so I can get to the planetary tax bureau before the due date and have to file for an extension? Christ.I mean, if the other ex-Origin guy with a heavily-monetized Kickstarter (Richard Garriott) implemented a tax system for his game, why wouldn't his buddy from back in the day do something similar? I can't wait to see what they do with land claims.
For Elite Dangerous, I love Obsidian Ant. He's very good at breaking things down into an easy to digest format. Not to me, perhaps to you since you seem to be the one persistently making irrelevant comparisons between both games and the developers
Game streamers, especially on Twitch, are plying for both viewers and financial gain...nothing more. I prefer the opinion of folks less financially incentivised to give it...no matter the game or topic. That said, I subscribe to Obsidian Ant (on YouTube) since he covers two of my favourite games in an informative and more neutral sense...plus... he's Obsidian Ant![]()
Yes, and don't forget the health insurance and writing your last will and testament.Fair point, I just keep wondering how much more they're going to cram into this game. Will I have to take a dump, shave my legs, brush my teeth, and take a shower before I can fire up the cockpit and get my ship running so I can get to the planetary tax bureau before the due date and have to file for an extension? Wasn't there talk at some point about NPCs reacting to players based on their hygiene?Fair point, I just keep wondering how much more they're going to cram into this game. Gotta keep those space billionaires in check.
Which is exactly why their criticism is so relevant. It's not what their audience wants to hear....are plying for both viewers and financial gain...
The planet was already there. They've gone and added a planet without having to remove something else?!!!!
The planet was already there. The new planet and moon count stands at zero since April 2020.

Since you seem to relish misquoting out of context parts of relevant posts to suit your personal narrative, I'll do the same...On the other hand, "I'm having fun" does not distinguish between a real project and a confidence scam. So it's not relevant.
Obsidian Ant is too milquetoast to handle a scandal like Star Citizen.
But of course. They are always refactoring , it gives them an excuse to go back over what they have done and not really progress, all under the guise of Continuous ImprovementNew Babbage will need to be refactored, like Levski?
