State of the Game

Seriously - I can't think of a single game that has mods that isn't better for it.

ED is probably the only PC game I've played the last 2-3 years that doesn't have modding.
If we could, they wouldn't be able to sell arx. We would be able to change the ship appearance, the voices....Almost everything they sell. Even if it's only for us (and not others in MP). And that's bad for them.
So, they encrypted the files.

schroedinger's cat is about quantum superposition though. not measuring speed and position
So now I had to google....actually kind of the same thing. I'm definitely rusty - the last time I studied this stuff was back in 1997 or 1998.

it's really not the same thing but if you squint hard enough, everything can be the same thing kinda.

one is about measuring 1 attribute of a thing will change another related attribute of a thing.

The other is about collapsing a quantum super position into a known state.

Yeah you have me reading more - and while the concepts are somewhat similar they are not the same thing. Good show! Always nice to get a review lesson :)

Loudly rants at screen and explains to wife how annoying it is that all those player factions have seemingly invaded every corner of the bubble, even the lost irrelevant low-pop cousin-hugging backyards, leaving no space for his own. Wife vaguely nods before returning to her TESO activities.

Ventures outside the confines of the Elite Dangerous section of this forum a bit and stumbles into a Planet Zoo thread.
There are people discussing if it is ethically correct to hold a virtual animal in a virtual zoo which real counterpart is near extinction.

Wins a new perspective about how important some people take details in videogames.

10/10 would never do this again

that entire forum would get crushed into oblivion by ED forum players. if you thought snowflakes were fragile here... that just sounds like you'll be stomping on defenseless children.

Postulates that the need to ‘put that bloody thing down and go the he11 outside’ means something slightly different than this.
