Good day! I've decided to make a quick survey to collect some technical data from the community regarding Odyssey version 4; please note that I'm no way affiliated with FDev and I've made this pool mainly for curiosity. All details are in the description of the form linked below \/

How is Odyssey Working on your Computer?

From what I undestand (from the social media) I'm a "lucky minority" but I would love to see how things really are.

I hope you plan to publish the results once(if) sufficient amount of data is collected.

My idea for now is to keep the pool running until the next patch is released, but share the results earlier (not sure when atm). Hopefully it can be interesting for both the community and the devs, if they happen to see this

On a separate note I loved Dennys when I lived in Canada, just seeing the name makes me hungry.

Not sure what you have planned for this data - by surveying us forum dwellers your results will likely be skewed enough not to be statistically representative - but polls generally aren't allowed here so I suspect a mod will be along shortly.

FWIW I'm also in the camp of having perfectly acceptable performance since launch. Well, unless I get too ambitious and put my VR headset on which is just a bit too framey to be comfortable, so I'm sticking to Horizons for that for now.

Ah was not aware of this "no pools" rule, my apologies for that. I don't use the forums much, I've decided to post this here too to have a more varied response (the pool was also shared in a couple of discord servers and the subreddit).

In any case, many thanks for your answer.

You won't with a forum made poll requiring a 3rd party account to fill. And no control whatsoever.

This is not a poll, though. Just a technical survey.

I think this should be okay here, of course, mods will have a final word.

Like the initiative to get specs in a structured way (email is a bit unstructured); but might be good to see FDev do/handle this. That being said, I think it might be possible to get telemetry and specs communicated directly; don't know to what extent this has been implemented though; I think they have telemetry for performance, but dunno about communication re: hardware specs.

While you include a question about graphics settings, it's missing information about screen resolution and fullscreen/windowed mode. I'd guess those have an impact on performance that should not be underestimated.
